This bag is the perfect travel bag for all my essentials (and more) for my upcoming Disneyland trip! The rope strap is so comfortable and durable even when the bag is stuffed. I love the two different main zippered compartments as it helps me organize my necessities and allows for easy access. I am a fan of kavu and this is the second one I’ve owned. It is a very functional bag and even my first bag from years ago is still in good condition!! Will probably buy another when I’m wanting another color! :-)

It’s a lot smaller than it looks in the pictures. I returned it as I need more space for travelling.

I love this bag!!! I love all the compartments I can fit a lot in it I was hesitant to buy it cause it’s a lil pricey but it’s worth it! The material is very durable the two main pockets are a nice size the two small pockets in the front are convenient I fit about 3 things in the larger “small” pocket that zips, and a iwalk portable charger in the top small pocket that has a Velcro snap…..I like the strap its solid the clip on the strap is sturdy I use this on a daily basis and I like how I can kinda slide it from the back to the front with ease and just grab the things I need I have the all black one with the brown three cord strap which I think is pretty fashionable this bag actually replaced a daily bag I just bought maybe a week or two before hand. I think this bag is worth every penny!I haven’t tested the water resistance part

I absolutely love this bag! As a mom of 2 young kids I need to be hands free as much as possible. I like that I can easily tighten the rope straps so it doesn't move around. I also love that I can swing it around to the front to easily access my stuff. This bag holds more than it looks! In addition to my standard purse items I have put my full size iPad in this bag no problem. It is comfortable & stylish. The black ripstop fabric is great because it never looks dirty.

I ordered several varieties of the Kavu bag as a potential replacement for my Patagonia sling, as I needed more space in my bag and these are significantly larger. The cotton/canvas bags felt stiff, heavy and hard to clean, and had multiple negative reviews relating to how much they fade. This bag is much more lightweight and appears to be the same easy to clean material my Patagonia bag is made out of. There are plenty of pockets, but none on the strap, which is part of the reason I deducted one star - I love having a small pocket on my Patagonia sling strap. The strap color is the other reason I deducted a star. I don't like the look of the brown strap on a black bag, but couldn't find another option for a solid black bag in this material. If the bag had a solid black rope strap to match the bag it would be perfect.

I love this bag. I carry my sketchbook, a reading book, and large Sony over-ear headphones in the main compartment. Wallet in the small zipper pocket inside the main compartment. In the slightly smaller side compartment, I keep things like phone charger, battery pack, and any other cables or adapters I might need. Then in the front small pockets I keep pens, pencils, gum, mini tripod for my phone, and more. I haven't tried it yet, but I would imagine you could keep a small tablet in the main compartment if you needed. I'd just recommend having it in a case or sleeve of some sort.The rope strap not only looks cool, but also feels durable. I expect it to last a long time. I recommend this "Sling Rope Bag" version over the other plain "Rope Bag" as it appears to be a water resistant poly material. I read in other reviews that the other version is just cotton.

Initially, I noticed this was advertised towards mostly women... men here and there periodically. If you're a guy that always has some sort of everyday carry gear on you, don't hesitate to get this should sling bag.So I'm a pretty active guy and almost always have a bag of some sort on me. I tend to carry food/snacks (vegan... prepare a lot of my own food so I don't have to concern myself with eating out), water container, sandals, wallet, money clip w/cash, eyeglasses, sunglasses, hat, personal carry, and headphones... then random things I need on my person. This bag carries my daily essentials with ease (excluding sandals).The build quality is pretty solid and the size is just right. The rope-strap is surprisingly comfortable and well designed. The pack fits well on the midback area.My only concerns are that the top outside pocket uses velcro and I may replace that with a snap or two. The other concern is that there is no grab handle on the top side of the bag, but I just grab it by the rope strap if I need to move it around in the vehicle, on/off around me on the ground, etc.5 stars (almost a four) for being a solid bag. I'll followup and re-rate the bag accordingly if it doesn't age/hold-up well.
