Bought this for the wife as she wanted to learn and she’s a true beginner. The instructions are hard to follow so she’s using them with YouTube , which is ok. The irritating thing is that the instructions refer to the back of the yarn package to tell you what size crochet hook to use. Well, it’s a written in Chinese!!! WTH…

The instructions are really easy to follow, and set comes with tons of skeins of yarn. The yarn itself isn't the highest quality of yarn, but it's not too bad.

This is a decent kit to make a granny square blanket but it's not for beginners. I would recommend you know how to make a basic granny square and are comfortable making them before starting a kit like this. The yarn seems nice it is a milk cotton blend with 3 types but it's in a foreign language so I would need to Google to find out what kind it is. It's probably a cotton/acrylic/ with some stretchy blend. The colors are true to the picture except the yarn I thought was black is more of a dark dark brown. It gives off Halloween fall color vibes. The instructions are decent. It basically gives you multiple granny square methods including daisy squares so I guess if you wanted to change up a few squares and make Daisy's you could. At the end it does explain how to make this blanket but it's kinda hard to wrap your head around hence you don't want to be a beginner doing this. It lays out the pattern for the color sequence for the granny squares (example A,B,C,D) but it doesn't tell you what colors are which and the colors in the instruction booklet do not match this kit so you will need to look at the product picture for a reference. I haven't looked at the video tutorial but if I do I'll update my review.

Pretty yarn. Instructions not included for purple/Orange pattern advertised. Impossible to make without a class in crochet. Useless.Not as advertised. Sorry I am stuck with it.
