I happen to own a very beautiful collection of fine knives: Miyabi, Yaxell, Enso, Shun, Misano, Wusthof, and Lampson Sharp in various styles: chefs, santoku, rocking santoku, nakiri, utility and prep styles, and in various lenghts from 4" to 8".This 5" Kasumi is my go-to knife for cutting an apple, or some cheese, or a salad for one. Its length and height is perfect for these purposes. And the VG-10 blade is as well pefect for the purposes described. The knife is beautiful to look at, and the finish is excellent.I recommend sticking with Wusthofs however for meat and cutting hard vegitables like winter squashes.
