Great quality rope for my project. It's sturdy and gets the job done. Would recommend.

High quality rope. It was to thick for what I needed but it would make a great rope for a swing!

This was gotten to use possibly with our "sun sails" for some shelter and ambiance around our new chicken coop/covered run....so unfortunately still haven't put it up yet but hope to by summer and will update this then with photos and how heavy duty it is, etc.Gorgeous in looks though- my crafty brain is doing overtime thinking of all the uses I could have for it but I was NOT loving the smell when I opened the bag but my husband said that is very normal... ?? I've never ordered rope before- much less Jute so I have no idea! We'll see how it does with longer to sit 'out" in the garage to 'off gas' or whatever it is that may help... Think unless you used it indoors in a large quantity, it wouldn't be an issue! ;-)

It is what it is expected to be.Male sure to let it air out for a day outside to get that chemical smell off.But I use for primitive survival practice and for cat scratches and it is great for both projects.I still highly recommended even with the smell!

Big and thick to use for whatever it is that you need. I plan on using it as a decorative item on my pool stairs.

I got this rope for a somewhat unusual purpose. Not unusual in the use but in that you don't see it used for this purpose much these days. I got it to use for a well rope. As the pictures show it is used to pull a bucket of water from a hand dug well my Dad, my brother and I dug over 50 years ago. I had built a well house over it and still had the pulley we used to pull dirt out of it when we dug it. I wanted to use that specific pulley and needed a good sized rope to stay inside the groove of the pulley wheel. This 3/4" rope fit perfectly and is plenty strong enough to pull the bucket of water up and the 50' length was just right to reach the bottom of the well with a few feet left over. It's a good workout for your arms and shoulders pulling the bucket up from the well while standing on the ground. I made an eye splice with the rope to attach to the bucket. The rope was easy to work with although it's necessary to tape the ends if you're working with them to keep them from unwinding during the splicing. I expect to get years of use out of this rope. This is a good rope at a reasonable price.
