Before I purchased I saw several previous comments mentioning more dimming over softening of the light. For the price I think it held up great doing both, it does slightly dim, slightly soften. Handy to grab and use on-the-go and at the price definitely worth a try. Has been working great for me.

I bought four of these to go over lights that light up the bottom of my green screen so that they are not as bright. These are worked perfectly and were a perfect fit. My son saw it and he wanted one too so I ordered him one as well.

These are good for the numerous offerings here on Amazon for small LED lights. These will diffuse the harsh, bright lights and give a more even (and more professional-looking) result. You can go full-on Barbara Walters if you like.The construction of these is fine--there are no quality issues. I use mine on my Peargear lights and it works fine.My only qualm is this: because it's not made for that specific model, the fit is a bit . . . random. It's secure, but a bit fussy.However, for the price, it's a good product.

These mini soft boxes work better than you think. I bought four small LED lights and three of these soft boxes and my final product looked like I shot my video with a big production light kit. These boxes will defuse the harsh LED lights but you'll also need to get them pretty close. They are a great starter kit for you Armature videographers. A must buy if your on a very low budget.

I have to be honest, I am very surprised at the 5 star ratings for this unit. This unit does work as a diffuser, which would come in handing for someone who is using LED lights that are not dimmable, however, when it comes to Soft Boxes, a primary purpose for purchasing them is to soften shadows and not just dim the light. This unit noticeably cut down the amount of light that was emitted from my LED lights, but it didn't really do much for softening the shadow and because my LED lights are dimmable, the soft box didn't serve much of a purpose. For someone who is using a non-dimmable LED, this is a great buy and a great price. For someone who is using dimmable LED's and is looking for something that will soften the shadows on a subject, this may not be the best product for you.
