This is my first impressions of : IVIR Cargo Shorts Women Summer 7 Inch Bermuda Shorts Knee Length Long Cargo with Pockets Casual Baggy Wide Leg Hiking OutfitsWhen I think of cargo hiking shorts, I think of a denim weight fabric. The fabric on these is more lightweight. The pockets are nice an deep. These also are true to size.The quality for this price point is good. It is neatly stitched and nicely assembled. The seams and the inner edge of the waist band are surged to prevent fraying. I would like to have seen the waist band edge turned under and stitched, as that is a more durable construction method which does not leave the edge exposed.Overall these are a nice pair of shorts but just not my favorite.

Fabric is reasonably durable, but a little stiff. The stitching is good in most spots with some stray threads on the underside. The pocket material feels too thin for shorts that otherwise seem built for practical purposes. The pockets don't have any closure (which is how I prefer them anyway!).I also miss having back pockets, but knew these didn't have any upon ordering these.Despite the images, these look bulkier and more 'billowy' than I expected. Hopefully a few more washes might help the fabric relax so the shorts become less poofy. I appreciate the roominess, just not the way they flare out away from my legs, or how long they are. It's just not flattering and makes me feel older than my age...and I'm not especially young. I'm 5'4" and based on how these fit me, it seems like the photos models must be at least 5'8" and wearing a very small size. Not entirely surprising, but not a realistic representation for customers, either.I'll use these on hot days for gardening and yard work, but won't be wearing them in public settings unless they change shape a bit. Sizing down may have been a good idea, since I went by the size chart and have room to spare, which probably makes the billowing even worse.

These shorts have a strong elastic waist band and are washable in the washing machine in warm water without shrinking. They are attractive and just the right length. They have both side and thigh pockets on both sides which is ideal for carrying my keys, cell phone, snack, dog biscuits, bottled water, etc. when I'm out walking the dog. The only thing I do not like is that they need to be ironed, unless you don't mind a few wrinkles after washing and drying. Otherwise, they are nice Bermuda shorts for any casual occasion.

My wife calls the Ivir Cargo Shorts her “comfy shorts”. The elastic waist, stretchy material and baggy cut all add up plenty of room to move and to relax. Pocket sizing is accommodating enough for handbag free trips to the store and running chores. Her large 6.9-inch screen phone with its case fits comfortably and securely in the hip pockets without stretching the garment. The khaki color is exactly as shown online. My wife models the medium size after a run through a machine wash and dry without ironing in the picture on her 5’4”, 127-pound frame.

My main disappointment with the shorts is the fabric. I absolutely hate the fabric. It’s ugly and it looks different in person than what you see presented in the product pictures. The product pictures actually make the fabric look different in a way. It’s much different in person and reminds me of something that would be an offset of dickies shorts only stiff and weird looking…I really don’t like these at all.
