These are the real deal! They look small but they work great even for large wrists. Real iron, heavy and quality. I was so impressed, way above expectation.

We have an escape room that’s western themed. The sheriffs office has these in it and it’s a perfect addition. Authentic looking. Sturdy and heavy.

Next to my old fashioned locks and old fashioned keys, this set looks incredible. Though I have not tried them on, they seem a bit small for the average wrist. But for me, it's not about functionality. It's about appearances. I will be using these in 17th and 18th century photography and bringing to events. I live just outside of Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia and can use these almost every day of the year. I buy all my own props for my work and this set is perfect.

They looked ok but one cuff would not unlock. Lucky no one was wearing it. I sent it back. They were cheap and I guess you get what you pay for/

As a Police Science instructor, I bought these for a display case along with a set of old jail keys and a picture of the Mayberry jail. For that purpose, it works great and generated some interest from students.I did mess with them enough to see how they worked and it's interesting in that the key is threaded and goes into the threads of the cuff. When it places enough pressure, it releases the part of the cuff that goes through it. Obviously, they are totally impracticable for anything but display, but for that, they are certainly authentic looking.

I just got these in the mail, and immediately started to play with them. They're pretty sturdy, but the locking mechanism is a little on the weak side. I tested it by pulling both hands away from each other vigorously, and one of the locks sprung open. I figured out that the threaded pins that the key screws onto inside the shackle must not be able to wiggle around in there. One shackle was nice and tight, but the other was kind of loose. The solution is to try to "clap" the lock on, and then check the threaded pin to make sure it doesn't budge. Other than that, they look nice if you plan on decorating with them, and they feel and look original enough to use as props for a costume at the Renaissance Fair.

These arrived very quickly and the kids loved them. Total cost after shipping was right at $20. These are real enough, have some weight to them and just feel substantial. Much cooler than spending the same money on a plastic light weight pretend set. I bought these for a kiddo who is going through a lock and key phase of some sort, and they are a huge hit. I also thought they would make great costume accessories and I am not disappointed. Better keep the spare key around safe somewhere just invade though.

I do a lot of decorating for Halloween, Pirates, skeletons, tombstones, the usual and I shop aggressively for good and different items to put on display for the kids. I saw these and thought they would be a nice change for the cheesy plastic or styrofoam ones you see at some of the Halloween stores and online. When the handcuffs arrived I was blown away with the quality, I believe you could really use these on a prisoner. They are very well made and the locks (comes with a key) are fully functional. These are going to look great on my hanging skeleton pirate. I also ordered a set of shackles from the same company to complete the set. If you use quality products when you decorate and are tired of your purchases lasting one or two seasons before you have to shell out more $$, these are for you...
