Bought it for my boat box on the swim platform. Had to cut the arm so it would fit into the grove.

I ordered 3 of these. Two of them are decent and lock appropriately and sit flush. The third one will lock, but the locking lever is small and you can simply pry up on the handle and it will slip outside of the groove that is supposed to keep it locked. I already epoxied the three locks into place, otherwise I would have returned the third lock as not functioning properly. Afterall, the entire purpose of buying a locking hatch latch is to. . . you know. . . lock it.

These do not come with the rear mounting bracket. The add is not clear about that. They never tell you that you will need to purchase other items to mount these. I will be returning them.
