But it really is!!!How many times have I almost broken a tooth on a cherry pit? More times than I care to remember. How did I not know that cherry pitters were an absolute must for someone who loves cherries and cherry season?I couldn't believe how fast and easy it is to use this tool, the process is almost effortless saving you time and the hassle of spitting cherry pits out. Just be mindful not to press too fast and hard, as it can spray some juice around. Despite this minor issue, the pitter's efficiency and ease of use make it an indispensable tool in my kitchen now. How, how how, did I not have one before?

This tool fits nicely in my hand and it is easy to operate. There is no learning curve - just drop in a cherry and squeeze the handle. The metal piece has a concave tip that effectively pushes out the cherry pit. It works fine. Mine is misaligned, but it does not affect its function. My only wish is for the cherry juice not to squirt so much, but that's just one of the joys of working with fresh fruit.

This cherry pitter generally does a a great job, but it's not my favorite. The push rod is hollow, and gets cherry flesh inside it, and is thicker than it needs to be. The cavity for the cherry is rubbery and grips the cherries, so they don't come out with a little shake. It's not like it's hard to extract them; It's actually so easy. But when you're doing 100 pounds of cherries, having the cherry just fall straight out with a little shake saves so much time. It is a little bit tiresome to do a lot of cherries, but I'm sure it's great for grip strength! But this is perhaps sounding too negative. Over all, I love the pitter, and it gets the job done. It always hits the pit, works with all size cherries, and is easy to clean.

I ordered this to make pitting cherries so much easier for my toddler who loves them! It doesn’t disappoint. It’s very easy to use. My husband and I both use it with no issues. It doesn’t matter if the fruit is on its side or straight up and down it works both ways. I just wash mine in the dishwasher and it works fine! It’s not super big so it fits well just in a drawer. I would recommend this cherry/olive pitter!

Bought this Jean Lemond Quick-Remove Cherry And Olive Pitter based on previous reviews. Not sure if my pitter was defective but I had a less than positive experience. It doesn’t really accommodate larger cherries and the cherries kept slipping so I’d have to do it multiple times. I also bit into the first cherry that I pitted and the pit was still in there. Which is fine for me but not for my 2 year old who could have choked. I’m pretty disappointed.

The "Jean Lemond Store Quick-Remove Cherry And Olive Pitter" is probably one of the best cherry pitters that I have used.I have tried several cherry pitters over the years and I would have to say that this one has come out on top. It is really easy to use. I have always been taught that you need to place the cherry in the pitter so that the rod that pushes down into the cherry where the stem attaches. That is the preferred and easiest method. But with this cherry pitter, I did a lot of testing. It didn't matter how the cherry was placed in the little cup. It could be on its side, backwards, stem side up, it really didn't matter, the pit came out cleanly each and every time. The design makes it really comfortable to use as well. I have used some cherry pitters in the past where you had to push a little rod with our thumb. That gets very tiresome after a while. With this cherry pitter, you just squeeze the handle together and that's it. It works really well.Just like pretty much all cherry pitters, there is a little bit of waste, a little bit sticks to the pit or a little bit of the cherry getting punched out, but it was very minimal. The cherries didn't get crushed and mangled either. They held their shape really well and where not damaged after pitting. Overall, this is a great cherry pitter.
