Terrible product, poor quality, the metal piece on many of these units arrived separated from the plastic. Is this 3m? Well, I asked the seller and he answered me: Please note we are not the manufacturer as such have no control over the way product is made. OMG... really!

liked- at just what they describe very useful and time saver. i used them to instal a remote start transponder bypasser also always you not to struggle with all the wires you can have them pre connected before you even get under the wheel. the material is very while made i was worried it was going to be a cheap plastic but its very professional grade plastic.Dislike- only good for no permanent jobs like if you are going to install a after market stereo. The clamps will not always get the best connection for data cable so you cant really used them since they need full cable contact. They are also very bulky if you are not careful and you crimp the to much you can cut the cable since you are dealing with 22 and 18 gauge cables.

Didn't read that I needed to have another piece to make these work. Bought them to wire up some stuff on my truck "properly." Ended up not using them after realizing that I didn't have what I needed to connect to them.

Although the Amazon page lists these T-taps as made in China, my package stated they were 3M made in USA. They worked well, no problems crimping onto a fine wire. Place the wire in the slot, fold over the cover, and squeeze with pliers. Done. The trick is to get the right size T-tap for the wire you intend to clamp onto, so I bought a bag of each of the red, blue, and yellow. The T-tap allows you to connect in tighter spots than regular side-by-side splices, so although this is the first time I've used these, I like them a lot better. But as someone pointed out, these T-taps DO require the use of a spade connector, so be warned that those are needed. But the advantage of the T-tap is that you can splice different wire size easily by using the proper connector on each wire. In my case I had a fuse holder that had a 12AWG wire coming out of it downstream of the fuse that needed to be spliced into a 22 AWG wire. So a yellow 12 AWG T-tap was used on the fuse wire and I could use a red 22 AWG spade lug for the other wire. A standard single-size splice would not have worked in that situation.

Works nearly all of the time. Easy to use. Won't work above much thicker than what its rated for the way it is designed so make sure you get the right size for your gauge wire. This was good for automotive wires but some wires within a vehicle are larger gauge than 22 or even 18.

These things are great. I don't know as brand matters but the functionality can't be beat. If you can't tell from the pictures, the larger end gets snapped around one wire and the thinner end is a "socket" to accept standard spade style connectors. This allow you to clip these little guys on the wire and then add the other wire later. It also allows you to plug and unplug wires when you want to test or debug a system. Because you only have to connect to 1 wire at a time you have a better chance of attaching it without a wire slipping out and you don't need 3 hands. I haven't use all 100 but out of the ~15 that I have used, everyone one made a good connection.
