overall this works fairly well, with a few exceptions. the temp can sometimes quit adjusting depending on the temp of the water and how quickly it's dropping. i dumped some ice blocks in 60 degree water and then put this in, and while my meat thermometer said 51, this turned off at 57. when i turned it on again, it made it to 52 before turning off again. once the temp settled i checked it again and it was accurate, but something quirky to note. it has a good seal so no worries about water getting inside the battery area. overall not a bad option.

Got this to monitor the temps in our ice plunge/cold plunge. Tested it out in a bowl of water and then added ice cubes and it immediately worked. Seems great!

EZ to program and read. It floats with you. It's nice to know the different temps of different soaking locations. The timer is nice to have.

When I took this out of the package I thought it would be a good thermometer, since it was reading the shop temp correctly, but once put into the freezer, then ice water, it was off by quite a lot, reading in the teens instead of 32F, or 0 deg F when in the freezer. It floats, if that means anything!

This ice bath thermometer works perfectly to let me know just how cold my ice water bath is! It floats which is nice. It is very easy to use. The timer feature is great becasue when you're in a cold plunge one minute can feel like on hour!
