They put a sticker on the screen that makes it look new on a replacement that apparently is not original, that is the reason why the screen hinge failed. They also apply poor quality exterior paint that peels off over time even though it has not been used intensively. The HP products that I have purchased have never had this problem in that sense, do not buy from this supplier.

Shortly after receiving this laptop, the "c" "d" and "e" keys began to periodically stop working every once in a while. Also, This laptop overheats easily, to the point of near burning me. It's either a poorly designed laptop, or it is poorly refurbished.

so, my right hinge slowly stopped moving only after having it for a month. it completely snapped after too much stress of opening the laptop. Basically, this thing is not sturdy enough for regular use. Luckily it is still working with its broken hinge but It's still very frustrating. Get the product insurance if you still want to buy this thing.

The first one I purchased, came damaged beyond use. Customer service was quick to assist and remedy my issue. The problem is, it took quite a bit longer for me to finally receive a replacement. They did offer a small compensation and "accessories" which was only a multi-usb adapter. Overall the computer is pretty nice, just not sure I would purchase again, after going through the process once before.
