Great bit for a great price. This bit is affordable yet functional and good quality. It sends clear signals but is still a gentle bit. I am restarting a horse in it; she loves the bit as much as I do.

I was really excited after the first few rides with this bit. My young horse has a small mouth and it’s challenging to find bits in the right size. He loves it, gives much more lateral control with the full cheeks, but now after only a couple weeks of use there is obvious rust forming all over the cheek pieces. Clearly the steel is low quality. I’ll be paying to replace with a more expensive bit, I guess.

It's a decent bit. My horses seem to like it and they salivate with it a ton. Showers who aren't allowed to use copper mouthpieces beware. Even though it is brass, it seems to have the same effects a copper bit does. I was recently flagged due to that.THIS IS NOT A BIT FOR A ANXIOUS HORSE. I would definitely only put this bit in the mouth of a horse who does not chew on the bit. Its only been in use for around 2-3ish months and has some nasty scratches on it. If you have a horse that chews I would recommend getting something that is a little more durable.

So I got it for a donkey. Yea it works great I only use it on a few of my donkeys. It was the right size.

I received a dirty, possibly used bit. It had grease in the lozenge, was already turning green with oxidation, and was shipped in a resealable bag. In addition, the bit does not have the Professional Equine stamp or any other stamp; I cannot confirm what brand this bit actually is.

This is the 3rd bit I've tried on my mare. My mare had been tossing her nose in the air and when we tried this bit, she was nice and quiet. (I had the equine dentist out two months ago for dental work on her, so that wasn't the problem.) Rode in this bit and she acted calm and happy with no head toss. The difference on this bit from the others I used, is that it has a slight curve to fit more naturally in the mouth along with a dog bone. This seemed gentler on her mouth and tongue. Also keep that in mind, there is a right way and wrong way to attach it to your headstall due to the curve in the bit. My mare is wearing the 4.5 inch bit, as she has a smaller mouth. The 5 inch bits are too long and slide around in her mouth. I haven't had this long, but so far, I'm really happy with my mares' response to riding in this bit.

Very happy with my purchase. This bit measures true to size. I love how gentle it is on the horse’s mouth, and look forward to starting my horse in this.
