This Gun Cleaning Aluminum Rod for 22 Caliber Rifle works very well. I recommend getting the brass attachment for holding the cleaning patch. The plastic tends to bend and be a bit of a nuisance. Other than that, I am pretty pleased with this purchase. Can ya dig it?

Purchased three the of the Hoppes, 3-pc Aluminum Rifle Rod, 22 Caliber ($7.95ea). Hoppes item number 3PA22. Two out of three rods broke on the first rifle I cleaned. The threads used to connect the rods together snap off inside the mating rod. I believe that the aluminum used to manufacture these rods is not the right grade to use. The rod is inexpensive but I learned that you get what you pay for. Hoppes needs to start looking at manufacturing a quality product and not on their profit margin by outsourcing to China. This product is not recommended! I am going to purchase a quality one piece rod and will be looking at what country it’s manufactured in.

The rod broke at the thread junction with moderate pressure pushing it into the barrel.

Thinner than original rods from years ago, but still functions if you use the correct size brush. Too thick of a wad and it will bend.

this works fine and the price is right but it feels very flimsy and cheap, not like the solid rods i've had from hoppe's in the past. I would not risk carrying it anywhere without some sort of hard case. the packaging is not really reusable for that purpose either.
