Instalation is simple and easy. It only took a couple minutes. Cap does stay closed going interstate speeds and stays open while fueling up. I can't reccomend this cover enough. I absolutely love it

Some of the holes did not line up, but it was an easy adjustment. It looks and feels sturdy, and looks good on my jeep.

Product is terrific. I have a 99 TJ and it was an easy swap out from my old one. Took all of perhaps (15) minutes. My original had (4) screws on the outer housing and (4) screws on the inner housing surrounding the hose. Simply took out all (8) screws. Once the original unit removed, I took out the gas cap and installed the new unit using the original (4) inner screws only, since the exterior housing was as snug as necessary. There are a couple of clips that will snap into place on the unit as you press it into place. I then reinserted the gas cap line through the proper opening. Looks super sweet and is super sturdy. Would recommend to anyone.

While the cast aluminum housing has some bulk to it, the price tag became evident once trying to install. The entire housing is screwed to itself, relying on the filler neck to hold it in. There are plastic clips around the ring of the base, but putting the item into place resulted in two of the clips to blow out, and the casting of the hinge for the door to shear off. After watching the gas door roll down the driveway and laughing hysterically, I was able to pull myself together and gather the junk to put back into the box it came in.I guess $25 for a good belly laugh might be worth it, but not as an accessory for my TJ.
