My old old old Honda HRX217 mower had the thumb drive without the position lock. This one replaced it perfectly! Gave new life to it! I also replaced the cable, works great now! Check your belt too! They tend to flare and slide off the pulley!

This kit included everything needed to replace the Smart Drive clutch for a Honda mower. The parts were labelled well, and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. When I bought this item the delivery time was listed at 5 weeks and it took every bit of 5 weeks before I got it. If not for that delivery time this would have been 5 starts.

Amazing that I can buy just this replacement part since our lever broke when we moved. Works good as new and only took a few minutes to replace. Come with everything you need to replace.

This was fairly easy to install. My old unit lost the spring to hol unit in place. When the new unit arrived, I put on the decals (feeling like a kid again) opened it up (4 screws) and replaced all the parts except the one that held the cable. That piece was fine. Put it back together (the spring is a bit pesky to put in) and it works perfectly again. Don't be scared of it. And chances are you won't need to mess with the cable
