Definitely need the SD card for great video. easy to fly, need to be cautious in winds as it is light and easily blown around. great camera and pics. would really like to have collision avoidance as well, but carful flying after practice makes this drone a great investment.I had some trouble turning off the beginner mode but customer service was extremely helpful and the issue was resolved in just a few minutes. Definitely recommend this item and the company for their follow up!

About 8 years ago we gave our eldest grandson a drone. It worked fine but the battery no longer works. Now our younger grandson wanted a drone. So I went on line and found the Holy Stone drone that did not require a difficult pairing with a cell phone - the HS360S. And it is unbelievable how much it can do that the earlier on didn't do. I was amazed about all the features and was even more amazed that it is so easy to fly and land (basically automatic). And when you take your hands off the controls, it just stays where it is just hovering peacefully. With inflation, this drone would actually cost what the first one did. Perhaps the next grandson will get a drone at the same relative price but also have object avoidance (about the only feature this one doesn't have). About the only thing I can say that isn't positive is the 20 minute reported flight time, however with 3 batteries this should not be a major problem. Also, I called tech support one time about a question I had and was connected immediately to a real human who spoke excellent English and answered my query adequately.

My 2nd drone [1st being a HS280] have to say GPS is a game changer, it stays were you put it.Return home is awesome and works great along with all the other features i have used.The controller is well built and keeps its connection over longer distance.Drone is well built, got to luv the extra battery's and they last as advertisedNice carry case. 3 different modes lots of adjust-ability to meet your needs as your learningHoly stone drones have good value for the $$ I would recommend them and will buy anotherUPDATE......................Great drone takes some really sharp picturesFlies really well 3 speeds so you can pick your control level, 1st is great for positioning for that perfect shot, 2nd is a normal speed and 3rd is pretty quickGPS works great love the return to home feature, loses signal, low battery it just comes home.I have to say holy stone customer service is fantastic. very fast response and service.I bought another one for my granddaughter so i definitely recommend them

Drone does not have the stability they say it should. Tried three different props and the video is still very bad. it may be 4k but you can't follow the shot even in calm winds. I have over 65 flights and the drone has landed itself without going to altitude 3 different times in different locations.thankfully it was in my yard or neighbors. the video return is about 1000. I'm sure to lose it if fly more than 2000 feet.

I had other drones with 2.4 GHz transmission frequency. I couldn't go up to 5Ghz due to my phone limitations. This drone solved the problem! It doesn't use your phones Wifi, it plugs the controller to the phone via cable. Now 5Ghz is possible! With this, I have had the drone out about 1 half mile with no issues. The drone automatically returns home when the battery gets low or when you lose the signal. VERY NICE Feature! I flew it over some woods, and it got attacked by a bird which sent it crashing into the woods about 1/4 mile away! (Not sure how the bird made out). The phone screen gave the drones last location. When I click on the radar on the screen, a Google map popped up displaying my location and the drone's location. I followed the map, and it led me straight to the drone. This thing is hard to lose! It handles wind better than most drones of similar size. The extra batteries give me plenty of flight time. I can't say enough about value for the money with this drone. I love it!
