Just installed the valve this week, but so far its working well. It does shut off when it reaches pressure, as to opposed to the old one (same model) that was constantly spewing steam. The old one was only replaced a few years ago, so it seems they need to be replaced every year or so.

I specifically ordered the Hoffman steam air valve. My superintendent told me the Hoffman steam air valve was more expensive than others; however, it was much better quality and would last much longer.
