The HiSport Intake Manifold Air Flap Running Lever repair kit is just what you need to fix the common issue with Mercedes Benz M272 engines that break the OEM plastic intake flap actuator arms. However, it's important to note that the original levers were most likely engineered to snap when a certain resistance level was reached. This is due to the gumming up of the flap system on the inside of the intake manifold. You'll probably want to do your best to spray some carburetor cleaner in there to see if you can break down some of the caked-on oil that is gumming up the works on the inside before reinstalling the intake manifold. Also, replace the rear high speed PCV valve located on the rear passenger side of the engine. The O-ring in the center of this valve sends to get bored out and leaks oil into the intake over time which causes the problem in the first place. There is a second PCV valve located on the driver's side right of the engine, but is primarily a set of baffles on the inside. They recommend that you replace this as well, but I don't see how this would go bad unless it's completely cracked or something. While doing the job, I highly recommend inspecting all vacuum lines to ensure there are not leaks and that none of them appear to be brittle/cracked. When I did the fix, I also replace the spark plugs and coil packs while I was at it.

This is the 2nd ki t I have bought. 1st for my ML350, 2nd for my E350. They have both worked flawlessly. I can't say enough wonderful things about the kit. You won't be disappointed.
