I have started using them recently and they are working well for now. Easy to install and good strength. I will like to see how they hold in weather (cold and hot).

If it hadn't been the first one out of the package I might have missed it. On the right in the pics you can see the warped turnbuckle. Further inspection revealed, while not as bad, 5 more visibly warped.Any quality control should have easily spotted this issue. I wasn't eve yet looking for flaws when I spotted the first.The threads on the screws don't seem to me as something I would refer to as "heavy duty" and if the screw threads aren't I seriously doubt the female threads would be any better.For the low cost these will be good for light duty tensioning but I wouldn't expect to use them for anything heavy duty.Good product for light duty. At just over $1 each good value.

I am not sure about the "Picture Hanging" reference in the title but these little guys can be used for dozens of other tasks with cables or small soft line. From crafting a gate support cable to putting tension of a yard sun sail canvas, they are great piece of hardware to have around the house and this pack gives you plenty of turnbuckles to use for your various tasks around the house.
