Until I'm able to get a jewelry cleaning cloth can't comment on that portion. But they started to fade within less than a month for any other ones I bought usually last a month or two. But it's with the price for getting 20 of them when it will last you like up to just a little under 20 months I guess if you're not able to clean them. They were able to fit my charm on nicely the first time was a little tricky and I can clip it and just put it over my head since I don't have any help to clasp them behind my neck.

Terrible product. Bought it thinking it was completely stainless steel, and it turned brown on a first wear. Never again.

Was looking for chains to put charms on to make necklaces for St. Patrick's Day and Easter. These were just what I needed. One chain had a section that was broken and obviously "fixed" with a jump ring that was too big. Another had a bad clasp. I switched the bad clasp with the broken chains good clasp. So, only 1 in the batch was unusable.Updated: 3 more had bad clasps, they break easily! So 4 were unusable and the quality is not sturdy. Downgrading my review.

I bought these just wanting one chain to turn my Vintage Alhambra bracelet into a necklace because the VA clasp is impossible. The chain works perfectly, and, altho’ it doesn’t match the Van Cleef chain, it blends wonderfully. This appears to be a quality item and I highly recommend it. It looks good.

beautiful finish and sturdy-- wish the end was smaller, it was too large to use, when trying to thread it through a small pendant loop
