Easy Bath Mat Use & Care
Before using for the first time, rinse with hot water. Position the mat in the shower or tub. Once wet, press down on the suction cups at the sides and in the center of the mat to ensure the suction is secure. To ensure that the mat stays firmly in place, it must be no bigger than the shower tray or bath.
HEVEA Bath Mats are strong and durable and will last a long time if maintained properly. After use, pull up to release the suction, rinse thoroughly, and hang to dry.
It is important to not leave the bathmat suctioned in place or wet for long periods of time, as this will promote mold, or alternatively could harm the surface it is adhered to. Since HEVEA Bath Mats are made from natural materials, keep out of direct sun.

First, I love this company for making a natural rubber bath mat. It's compostable! It's nontoxic! My husband and I are relieved to have this option for keeping our family safe when bathing our babies. However, I've purchased three bath mats for the same bathroom since 2021 because of mold issues. And it's starting to feel like a waste of money and natural resources.The bath mat in the photos was purchased almost nine months ago, and it's already getting covered in black mold. We keep our house very clean, and nothing else has visible black mold in our bathroom. And I've tried SO hard to keep this bath mat from getting moldy. Whenever someone takes a shower or bath, we immediately rinse off the bath mat thoroughly and hang it to air dry until the next time it gets used. This is a great deal of effort, and it's still getting mold on it!So, just be prepared for the trade off. You're getting a nontoxic rubber bath mat, but you have to spend a lot of time taking care of it. And even if you're keeping it impeccably clean, you still might have issues with mold.

Bought the natural rubber one and have been using it for well over a year. It was pretty pricey but I’ve been satisfied with it. It doesn’t give off any icky chemical odors, the color is pretty, it has good suction and comes off easily, and has not molded (I just pop it off, shake off water, and hang it over the edge of the tub to dry) or stained our tub. The size is sufficient for our tub although if they had offered this color in the big size, I would have gotten that one instead.Update:It eventually molds despite taking very good care of it. Mold also does not clean off. In looking at other people’s reviews, may just need to expect to toss this out every year or so when it molds. Unsure about rebuying as it is pricey.

I follow all of the cleaning instructions but this bath mat has gotten moldy and permanently stained my bathtub. I was so excited to buy this because of it being non tox and natural, but unfortunately I have to throw it out! I can’t use something that is getting moldy! Really hoping some baking soda and peroxide will take the stain out, as this was a brand new bathtub. Bummer.

These bath mats are great. I love that they are rubber (no plastics in a got bath) and the suction power is incredibly strong, which I was surprised about. Easy to clean (hot rinse after the tub and hang over glass shower to dry. They smell weirdly like vanilla but it smells nice TBH (I guess that must be how natural rubber smells?) Docked 1 star only because they're small - I had to buy two to fit the whole bath since baby is walking and standing in it now.

It's a smasher! Make sure you dry it out properly after every use though. This is my second one of these. The first developed an impressive coat of black spots because we left it in the bottom of the tub. They never came out so bought a new one.

Ich habe diese Duschmatte gewählt, weil ich etwas ohne Weichmacher oder andere fragwürdige Stoffe für mein Baby gesucht habe. Wir sind sehr zufrieden mit dem Produkt; die Noppen halten super, die Oberfläche hat ein ebenfalls rutschhemmendes Wabenmuster und die Matte ist dick genug, dass man darauf sitzen kann ohne dass die Noppen drücken. Sie riecht wie erwartet dezent nach Kautschuk. Alles in allem ein wirklich hochwertiges Naturprodukt, das ich nur empfehlen kann.

I don’t know how long I spent researching and looking for a non toxic bath mat for my kiddos. I don’t even remember how I stumbled upon this Hevea bath mat. All I knew was that I didn’t want any hormone disrupters or any other crazy toxic yuckies in my kiddos bath time.I admit that this mat is small so I bought two and the two fit perfectly in my tub, side by side. It does have a natural rubber smell...think sophie the giraffe but slightly stronger and sweeter smelling. Normally, I can’t stand the smell of chemicals (bleach, vinyl shower curtains, even some perfumes/colognes, detergents, etc) but I actually like the smell of this mat.initially I was worried about the potential latex sensitivity/allergy since this is a natural rubber mat, but my kiddos seem fine *phew*.And the color...the brownish-reddish color, if i was one for aesthetics, i’d be in misery. but i’m not and this mat is functioning exactly the way i wanted. I did notice that Hevea also has a charcoal gray color, so two color options exist.So far, i’m loving this mat. It does what it’s supposed to do and the suction is strong, so I know this mat isn’t sliding anywhere while my babies are walking around in the tub. :)
