So I am in an absolute emergency to help a friend haul a heavy item on my trailer. The item is well below the 3500lb axle rating, but it will definitely make the trailer sag. So I do some research and find that Hellwig makes helper springs for single and tandem axle trailers. Even better, I find the item (Hellwig 1301) on amazon and I get can get delivered on Saturday (of course paying a lot extra). Well, the springs get here on Saturday, I proceed to jack up the trailer and remove the tires, place the springs, u-bolts and THE NUTS ARE THE WRONG SIZE SHIPPED FROM THE FACTORY! The u-bolts are 7/16-20 thread and the nuts provided are 1/2-14 thread! I desperately need these springs mounted so I'm off to several stores to find 24 7/16-20 bolts, no one has them! I end up spending $78.48 to buy 4 pairs of u-bolts with new bolts. Wow.... Thanks Hellwig. I had just previously ordered a set of helper springs for my Silverado which was great, but not this.... Sheesh....
