I live in apartment building at where you can't change in your locks so I got two link chains and we fasten them to each side of door. I feed strip through and draw it tight sono one can get hand through.Then I burn or cut long protruding end so no one can re-feed it in reverse and it's short so they can't reconnect it either after the cut.I only need to remember to keep cuticle scissors or lighter on me to cut or burn it to get back in.I also use them for my purse and any other thing I want to keep other people out of.The white kind has a break away strip so you can tear it away. This one doesn't and I like it better. Keep matches, nail clipper I'm scissor or working lighter with you. Or you won't be able to get back in.They help give you a little peace of mind while you are out.
