I have had it on the bike for ~700 miles and it seems to be doing just fine. It seems loose when you install it, but it doesn't rattle and appears very secure. The OEM HD part it replaced was loose feeling as well. The "mesh" is just the same plastic material the rest of this product is made of, but I'm hoping it will provide some extra protection for my oil cooler should something strike it. It was easy enough to install. I waxed it before installation and have been able to wipe of any road debris with a wet cloth. It looks nice installed.

No one will probably ever compliment me on this specific part lol, but it's definately a nice visual improvement, adding to the ton of other improvements I've made to my Street Glide ST.

Fit was spot on. Very good quality hi-impact plastic. Uses screws instead of factory grommets to mount to provided bracket. Nice system.

Entire unit is made of plastic including the mesh. Appears to be good quality. Black finish is good. Easy to mount. I reused the existing factory bolts as the supplied bolts appear to be a different thread size.

Installed easy, but there are no directions. There is mounting hardware and it is made of plastic. A little expensive for plastic, looks good.

So yes this is plastic but at 57 bucks versus HD’s 246 bucks it’s a no brainer! Easy to put on. I would have had no problem had the two stock bolts were not striped by HD! Thank goodness for zip ties. Stock is held on by two rubber grommets. And zip ties work just great. Will see how it holds Up but unless I throw a big rock at it should have no problems.
