Not the same quality as the originals. Lighter gauge metal, and the bolts sheered off on two of the legs. Must replace all the bolts with quality grade 5 or preferably grade 8 hardware...sad to see products that used to be the gold standard of quality and durability devolve into borderline unsafe junk. Someone could have been hurt if this bolts sheered off in the wrong situation... pride and quality are almost dead

these are INCREDIBLY short. If you want to do any sort of cutting be prepared to stoop down. If you like cheap/wont last, these are your sawhorses

Bolt busted as soon as i locked the 2x10 in. I dont know how they didnt think of making the hardware bigger. like its 1/4… do at least 3/8!!!They advertised this with like 2 tons of material on it with a man standing on top with his arms crossed proudly. Yeah right. This was a fail by design, everything is made overseas, no more integrity. Good thing this didnt bust while i was cutting wood that could have been catastrophic.I will weld my own with heavy gauge domestically produced steel.

Just assembled these and broke 2 bolts trying to get them to clamp the 2x4. One 2x4 was spruce and the other was cedar hoping the softwood would work.Used a set around 10 years ago and thought they were great. These are garbage.

I got these for a specific job and now I use them everywhere. They are easy enough to store in the back of my truck with a few 2x4s whenever I need an adhoc table. The easy ability to break them down is nice too for jobsite cleanup. They seem like they're going to last long that I will, very robust. Essential gear for any sort of construction project.

From what ive seen these are the gold standard in quality saw horses. Nothing else you buy is going to be as pro as these. This size i use 2x6 and achieve a good working height. In my opinion you are either using these, you have built your own saw horses, or you are using junk. And to anyone complaining about the price you have no idea how good of a deal you got. these are no longer manufactured and everything else you can buy is absolute junk. My friend really wanted a set for his business so i made him a set identical to these, over $100 in materials and about 16hrs by the time they were painted and finished @ my minimum cash price of $40 an hour means i wouldn't make someone a set of these for less than $750 cash. EDIT: These are available everywhere again. they are made in china now but they seem to be just about the same as they were when they were built in WA. with the exception of the hardware. i just bought a new set and all 4 horses sheared the top bolt the first time clamping to a 2x4. i replaced them with grade 8 bolts and they are working just fine. on our old set at work we put a 20' long 8' tall shipping container. so theyre STRONG. the picture with orange and blue ones is my old american made ones and the orang ones are the ones I made. the set with the 1x6 are the new ones i just bought. I still highly recomend these. you want low? use a 2x4, you want tall? use a 2x12.

Perhaps the most ignored tool in the shop, these bad boys are as sturdy as they come. Having had 3 pair in the shops for the last 20 years (bought local back when we had a brick and mortar tool store) I have placed full pallets of equipment and materials on them without thought of failure. The advertising shows two units of lumber stacked on them, and I don't doubt that capability what so ever. Easy break down makes transport is straight forward for job site use. The pair of legs are not connected and do require a 2X4 (or as I do 2x8) to complete the units. The "bone pile" makes that a no problem deal. The only drawback is the lack of a pre-drilled fastener holes in the clamping portion, for permanent securing of the 2X, which may after years of use, loosen from shrinkage. Comes as easily assembled components for some reason.

As a contractor, I have made several sets of sawhorses over the years; however, this set of sawhorses will last forever. They are heavy duty, easy to assemble & break down, and are easily transported (either assembled or broken down). The height can easily be adjusted by adding wider wood stock (say, from a 2x4 to a 2x6). I have my horizontal stock in a "T" -- with a 2x4 traditionally mounted on its edge and another 2x4 centered on its width, pocket-screwed from below. This not only makes for a comfortable height for me, but allows me to remove the top piece when is well worn. I would recommend to anyone needing some "REAL" sawhorses. I have used these for years now and liked them so much, I bought pair for a friend of my for his birthday.

I purchased the Trojan horses based on the favorable reviews of others here on Amazon, and I'm glad I did. The design of these saw horses is ingeniously simple. They took only a few minutes to assemble, and are extremely stable and strong. These saw horses are available in 2 heights...27 inch and 35-inch. I opted for the smaller size, which I believe would be somewhat more female-friendly (smaller reach required). It is the perfect working height for me. And if I need it taller, I can switch out the 2x4 for a 2x6 or 2x8 and get the additional height I need.Beyond the fact that this is an excellent product, it is made in the USA by the fine people at Trojan Tools. And if you have a product question, don't be surprised if the president of the company (Jeff) personally responds.
