Just fill your Oya with water every few days and the rest is taken care of. Plant roots instinctively grow toward the porous clay of the Oya which allows them to take exactly the water they need when they need it, no more no less. It's working great in my cucumber raised bed. I have two small ollas in a 4x2 raised bed. I top them off with water every 3-4 days. Love it!

We live in Wisconsin and we have several plants that we wheel outside for half the year and wheel back inside for the other half. Having a GrowOya in each of those pots has been a huge improvement over other watering methods. The lime tree now has 6 limes 'cooking' on it, and the rosemary 'tree' fills the house with its fragrance. The bay tree was always looking rough but this season it is doing well enough that we are comfortable pulling some leaves off for cooking. Excellent product!

I have 15 or so of these in my vegetable garden and have loved them for years! Lowers watering needs and helps promote healthy plants - and helps me manage my garden plot that is a short drive from my home.I needed four more for my garden and decided to buy from Amazon. The new ones have thinner walls (about half the thickened compared to my older ones). I’m not sure if this will impact how well these work for me this year but we will see. They certainly feel more fragile than my older ones. Fingers crossed they perform the same as the old ones!

First, it's wonderful that it came in great shape and with its green top. I saw some earlier reviews that said theirs was missing. I wanted to buy local but these are not sold in many places. I love the price which is reasonable. I live in New Mexico in the Sandia Foothills and it is definitely considered high desert. I have land to grow on but very low humidity ad extremely dry. Most of my plants end up dying because the roots are shallow when they need to be deeper. So, I put it in with my wisteria so it can get deeper roots. I gave it a 5 star because it is doing exactly as it is intended to do and the quality seems pretty good. I intend to buy more as time goes on...This medium size holds approximately 3liters which is a decent amount of water for medium-small plants. As my tree gets bigger I may add a separate irrigation system but for the next while it will handle all its water needs.

Great quality, great packaging, arrived in perfect condition, I have used smaller Oyas in other pots with great results, the plant roots are massive and they surround the Oya, The plants grow much better, and faster., this is my watering system from now on. Enjoy your Garden.Paul
