I primarily bought these for mountaineering. They're lightweight and packed with needed calories. They sure do boost your energy when you need it most! Great flavors!

They really are so delicious and filling. I've used them as a meal replacement often. Drinking water with it does the trick to keep you full until your next meal. Lightweight. I took these on a month long hike in Utah where it's hot in the summer. These held up excellently. no melting. They are soft enough to fit in the crevices of a pack without getting destroyed. The resealable packaging is a huge plus because these bars are big, 2 per package and I often only need one. I just ordered 15 more. Handy for long days

The order was shipped promptly and the contents are as described in the listing. I have not used the Meal2Go bars yet. They were purchased for a backpacking trip later this month. I'll let you know what I think when I get back.9/9/21: Just back from 8-day hike in Yosemite. I really enjoyed the Meal2Go bars. They definitely have the calorie and nutritional profile to keep you going. They are all tasty and filling, but my favorite bar is the mango/cashew/coconut. They only bar I didn't care for is the spiced caramel apple. Why put cayenne pepper in a fruit-flavored meal bar? I appreciate being able to buy the variety pack through Amazon, as it saves the shipping cost on what would be my typical order.

I tried this variety pack with concern about a few of the flavors. They all turned out to be pretty good! The consistency of the bars is somehow borderline moist even though they're basically fancy granola bars. They stay generally together while you're eating them instead of crumbling to pieces like some brands. $7 a bag seems a bit steep, but they are easily the best granola bar I've ever eaten and you get a vastly more significant amount of nutrition out of a package. I keepa bag in my drawer at work for when lunch isn't an option. I definitely recommend giving them a try.

When on the trail I like to be up before dawn and moving. Its cold. Maybe snowing. Maybe raining, and probably just light enough to see. Don't really care to get out the stove and boil water. Green Belly is my breakfast. Has been my go-to for several years. One package has 2 bars. Each bar has between 320 and 340 calories (depending on flavor). I typically eat about 400 to 500 calories in a meal, even on trail. One bar, some fruit or jerky and I'm on my way.Taste is decent enough for trail food. Not something I crave as a snack but its very palatable, easy to eat, easy on the stomach. Ingredients are decent enough. While not health food most flavors come close to a 30/30/30 balance. High in protein, high in fiber. You won't feel bloated and you won't bonk three hours later.Worth the price and worth having as part of your trail food kit.

To be honest, I was a bit skeptical about these bars. I ordered the variety 9 pack figuring I could choke down 9 of them even if I hated them. I was wrong...immensely wrong. The packaging is good. Easy open with a easy tear notch above a resealable zip lock. It’s a foil packaging; durable and waterproof. Fits easily in the brain of my pack as well as in the cargo pocket of my pants. The consistency of all three types of bars are moist but not at all sticky. All three flavors are delicious. Absolutely no aftertaste or funny “wang” taste common in most protein bars. Even my son loves them, and he’s a somewhat picky eater. When I handed him a piece of the peanut/apricot bar, he had a doubtful look on his face. After he tried it, we ended up splitting our bars so we each got one peanut/apricot and one dark chocolate/banana. As a result, I’m ordering a 30 pack. These are perfect for any meal while backpacking when you don’t want to break out the stove or are just in a hurry to keep moving.

I did a 40 mile trek through the desert in Big Bend national park. There were a significant amount of elevation changes all throughout the hike, the sun was brutal, and the water was scarce.needless to say, pack weight was at a premium due to the high amount of water we had to carry at any given time.Due to all of that i wanted to get the most powerful and lightweight foods I could find for the trip.Greenbelly meals pack very nicely, and I used each bag to collect and hold my trash from the day as they are resealable.I ate peanut butter/apricot and banana/dark chocolate (2 of each). They didn't taste amazing, but let's face it when you need the most nutritious superfoods packed into a small item you can't expect something out of a restaurant. That being said, they did not taste bad, not at all. I enjoyed eating them. They are dry so definitely expect to gulp some water with them, and they are a bit tough to finish (because they give you so much food, which is a good thing)My lunches consisted of one greenbelly and one probar. After lunch I would be able to power through the next several miles with only intermittent pauses for water. Whether it be sharp or gradual uphill climbs I was glad I had brought greenbelly meals.Over the 40 miles, averaging about 13 miles per day. We climbed over 10,000 ft and descended nearly that much. These are a must have for any hiker who is looking for the absolute best meal for the size and weight, something to help you power through when you are past the point of exhaustion. However, if this was a less intense trip I might have packed say a freeze dried cookable meal for lunch. If you are looking for what I mentioned above definitely purchase this item. If you are going on a casual trip you will definitely get a powerful lunch with this, but depending on your preferences and needs, you may not have to purchase an item quite this minimalist.all in all, I will 100 percent be purchasing again.
