About this item

  • Durable Triangular Carbide Tip: The flat edge with sharp corner ensures efficient grout removal, saving time and effort. With fine groove design, the tip is more suitable for detail cleaning. Contains 1 piece carbide tip replacement for longer life. Use carefully, pay attention to avoid scratching hands
  • Premium Material & Firm Connection: The tip is made of carbide and the rod is made of carbon steel, which has high hardness and high wear resistance. Both the nut, and between the rod and the handle, are connected tightly, ensuring good sense of use and stability
  • Practical for Detail: Goldblatt grout removal tool is ideal for cleaning corners, ceramic tile gaps, and surface grime. Can be used to clean up unwanted grout, mortar, paint, caulk and thinset, or dirt from tile joints and seams, convenient for small jobs and detail work
  • Efficient and Effortless: Unlike power tools, Goldblatt grout cleaner doesn't make dust fly or break tiles. Its hard tip makes it easy to remove grout and debris with less effort than toothbrushes and rags
  • Soft-Grip Handle: The total length is 9.65 inches, and handle is 4.92 inches long, 1.25 inches wide. The handle is lightweight and comfortable, in line with the curve of the human hand structure, reducing hand fatigue. In addition, there is a small hole at the end for easy storage

This is a little more aggressive than the 12mm square carbide insert scrapers, but it's a good kind of different. Much more aggressive but not to the point of being a plane, took dried glue right off without damage. It will remove wood/underneath if you bear on it much at all but it will take off glue residue like magic wand. Also great for deburring aluminum T-track i had just cut an this was handy sand it worked great with no damage to the carbide bit. This, combined with the 12mm square carbide insert scrapers compliment each other perfectly, where this is aggressive and can get into trim corner features , the square one can do the light duty work, saving the blade life on it.I'm not sure how extra extra inserts would be found, unsure of specifications and it's a nut holding it onto the rod rather than a Torx screw, but I doubt I'll make all3 sides of 2 inserts dull anytime in the next several years so it doesn't matter. Having the spare blade is a big bonus!

We tried this several times and couldn’t get it to work. It didn’t seem like it was sharp enough.

This tool did the job that I needed to scrape out hard to remove debris from the grout lines in my shower floor.

This works well for flat joints. The handle is shorter and built with a material that does not flex. This allows you to dislodge the stubborn pieces of grout. For corners I used this tool and a combination of other tools to prevent tile damage and reach awkward angles. I would buy this brand, again.

Had to remove some grout in a shower, 3 walls, approx 70" tall, {1} 55" wide, (2) 30" wide. Comes with an extra tip, tips are 3 sided, so, when 1 dulls, get a 5/16" wrench, loosen the lock nut, turn the tip, tighten the nut...scrape away! Put the tool in the grout line and pull, takes the grout out like a champ. Hint...pull nice and straight and the longer the pull the better, pressure on the tip...yes, but not too much. Did all of the verticals 1st, then the horizontals. Completed job turned out great. Only reason for a 4 star, not 5 was the tips could have been a little better. Mine dulled fairly quickly. For the size shower above, I used both cutters, 6 tips, just got done. Works good though. Blessings, Tom

I had to recently replace some silicone in an old tub I had, and this was really easy to get the old silicone off. It cleans the sides of the tub and tile well. Leaves a nice smooth surface to apply a new bead of silicone. The tool is super sturdy, and it seems to be made well.

If you’re like me and thought the longer blade grout saws would be more effective/quicker, you’d probably be wrong. The carbide triangle fits in the grout lines much easier and required much less effort (and back and forth). Plus this was able to get into all the nooks and crannies with ease. It seems well made and worth the money. It does get carbide dust and grout everywhere so prep accordingly and use PPE. Gets the job done.
