This is the famous lip bearing required when updating your TH700r4 & up, in combination to install the 5 pinion planetary carrier into the OEM ring gear. The reaction hub / shaft is 24241255, the 5 pinion carrier 24241244 and this bearing are machined to fit together and achieve proper stack up height to get your output shaft endplay between 0.020" - 0.030". With your new updated reaction sun shell, hub, brg, carrier, etc. install the output shaft and place on bench as an assembly. Measure the output shaft endplay "BEFORE" you install it into the case. Adjust all of your selectable thrust washers / bearing as you build up to the final front pump install...then check input shaft endplay for a proper setup. Just think, a working trans, that will run cooler, last longer for you that push snow, tow equipment to the jobsite or for the many who increased the horse power for street or drag. Must have part as other items can be found on Amazon. I am a retired ASE Master tech who wishes you the best...if you want to save thousands on a big box with a shiny remanufactured trans with who knows what inside. Do it your self, research, take notes, purchase and go for it. You'll get you man card back!

Excellent part for your retro 700r4 transmission. high quality clean look, wrap on the original sealed bag with GM part#'s you name it..if you need to order another part in the future my advise: don't hisitate to get it from Amazon. best price, quality and on promised time delivered.
