I SO WANTED to LOVE this cute teapot. However …__The concept is cool but the REAL functionality is sorely lacking__First of all, the instructions on the paper band that was found inside the teapot, are written in what I assume to be Chinese, of which I cannot read, so I looked on the listing for further information but found nothing helpful. Really__I found through trial and error that I needed to add the hot water to the inner container (where you place the tea) to allow the tea to brew__Once You add the water into the tea and wait for as long as you choose, then start the timer on the handle for as long as 95 seconds. Seriously, that is the longest option for time. Enter Eye Rolls Here__Once the selected time is finished an audible beep occurs, then the brewed tea is released from that inner tea chamber container into the lower portion of the pot__Once that is complete, then you can pour your tea into your cup and thats it__SO, here is my take on all of this:The teapot DOES allow the user to add water to loose tea leaves where after a selected amount of time is then released to the bottom container where the finished tea is then poured into a cup. The great thing is that there are no loose tea leaves that transfer from the teapot to the cup. Other than that, I feel its all gimmicky. Seriously. SIGH__I would much rather add tea leaves to a strainer and brew in that manner than to pay such a high dollar premium for a teapot that basically functions as a timer. I’m sorry, but no thanks__I will say the teapot is of good quality materials and charges by an included C type charging cord__One last thing: once the tea has been poured, the listing video shows the pot being set onto a heating warmer. That is not included, which I did not really expect it to be, but it would be a good thing to have since this teapot has no capacity to keep the tea warm__BOTTOM LINE: I really ENJOYED a tea party with My GRANDkids, who were captivated by how the tea was released like magic from the top section to the bottom when time was up. IMAGINE: 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 !!!! Brewed tea releases!! Yes, we actually did the countdown, but that just reiterates the idea that this is more gimmicky than functional

The design is what prompted me to order this teapot. I was intrigued by the look of the wooden elements, the borosilicate glass, and the electric timer.In person it looks just as nice as it does online and it works just as good as it looks.However, what I was not expecting was for the instructions that shipped with the teapot to be in Chinese only. Granted, there are instructions on webpage that provide a step-by-step guide of how to operate the teapot. But if the person who is using it is not aware of that. For example, like my college age son who wanted to use it one morning when I was not at home. Or if this is being given to someone as a gift, they may not be inclined to go to the webpage to retrieve the instructions because they may not be aware of where the item was purchased or it may just not occur to the individual.

I absolutely love this product! It makes the process of making tea so much easier. I love that it has a timer that you can set, however it only goes up to 99 seconds, and I would love for it to be able to go up to a couple of minutes. It's not a deal-breaker though because I can just let the water sit for a few minutes and then set the timer. The inner cup is not fully sealed, so it does leak out when you pour it. What a great addition to my kitchen. I am a HUGE tea drinker so I'm always looking for new accessories to help make the process of making my favorite teas even easier. This thing works great! It keeps the tea perfectly separated from the leaves. I couldn't wait to get it out of the box and brew up a cup of my favorite tea. You can set it up to 95 seconds, which is more than enough for the tea I like and then you can immediately pour it into a mug, completely mess free. Its easy to clean up afterwards too. Just a quick rinse and its ready to go again. Love it!

This loose leaf tea pot blew my mind. It has a built in timer that you can adjust your steep time. I typically brew 2 pots back to back in this and take it to my desk. I can say that it doesn't keep the tea hot for long. I am not a slow drinker, so it was a noticeable star loss. I have been warming the glass up prior to steeping to help with heat retention. Aside from that, this is a fantastic tea pot that I really enjoy using.
