I had been dealing with taping up that pathetic key on the left for MONTHS because everywhere else either didn’t have the key, or it was too expensive. Finally I can carry around my key without people staring at them.

Just as described. Remember you have to reprogram the control and get the key cut. For sure a way to get your back up to what you need, an Original Honda Replacement Part.

This is the way to go. Don't buy a cheap knock off, I did and sent it back. The knock offs (that I've seen) don't have the quality top and bottom plastic parts that the oem has. The knock offs, no matter how tight you make the little screw, won't seal together properly. That means water could more easily get in, dropping it may result in it more easily breaking etc.Look, if yer gonna spend the big bucks to get it programmed / cut / transponder working, spend the extra 10 or 20 for a quality product first.

Genuine honda key. Replaced one we lost. Had it cut and programmed at a local Honda dealer. It works... not sure what else to say.

You will need to have the key cut AND programmed. Exactly like the original Key I got with my car. I took it to the dealer who cut the key for free but wanted about $85 to program the chip. They wanted $75 for this same blank key too. ($160 total) I found a local locksmith who programed the key for $40 and all of the buttons work exactly like original. It even has the official "H" logo on the flip side. This appears to be the genuine OEM part.

The original Honda key are ridiculously expensive. Not to mention how many hoops you have to jump through to get an emergency copy made. This a great alternative to take to your key copy maker. No problems with the key or alarm.
