The case is sturdy looking but inside its just too dang small. The mouthpiece holder inside is cupped in hard plastic instead of plush like the rest of the case. Unless you remove the mouthpiece cover and ligature it won't drop low enough in the plastic cup to close the case! The accessories holder is TINY. Barely enough room for a strap. No room for extra mouthpieces, swabs, reed cases, cork grease and all the usual stuff I carry around. This was intended to replace my original Yamaha case which is wonderful but the zipper is broken. I took it to a luggage repair shop and they wanted $150 just to fix the zipper so I figured I might as well buy a new case instead. But this Gator case ain't it. Sorry. Returned.

Was worried the latches might be rattley or that the lid might not fit perfectly tightly but it did. Feels really solid.

Very strong, sturdy and good quality, but unfortunately would not fit my 1970s Bundy Alto Sax. Could not even close lid. Had to return for refund.

Got this as a replacement for my daughter’s Yamaha alto saxophone soft case. It fits perfectly and provides enough storage for the necessities. Will provide better protection than her soft-sided case did.
