Love this thing. Use it all the time to find my way around my new city Austin, TX. Nice big display and easy to use.

Don't get me wrong, I love Garmin products and this is the 1st one that has disappointed me. I tested this out for a week for my commute to work and it has some difficult driving areas. It tried to put me on side roads and in the woods with no roads, luckily, I know those roads like the back of my hand. Also I have several no service areas along my commute for work (approximately 1/2 of my commute has no cell service and that is about 25 minutes to give an idea) and I looked at the screen and it had me positioned 1/4 mile off the road and in a river. Not sure if it is a glitch but that area has very dangerous curves and turns and that area needs to be precise for any GPS. I got this for an upcoming trip as my old GPS is 14 years old and the speaker doesn't work anymore. I did a at home in store simulation mode and the route used did a 12 hour simulation route when it is really a 7 hour drive. I did a factory reset and restart program with new updates and followed the instructions carefully and still same issues. Not 100% confident in this product.

It is unlikely that I will ever purchase another Garmin GPS. I've used Garmin products for years with no problems at all. That stellar record ended when I purchased the DriveSmart 61 NA LMT-S Advanced Navigation GPS. The first one arrived and would not start so it was returned with no problems. The replacement worked fine the first time I used it. The second time I needed it was unfortunately after the return period. It would not turn on. Now, I have a $280 paperweight.

I received the product quickly, and it was well-packed. The large screen is awesome! It's more expensive, but I can see details easily. I like Voice Command for hands-free navigation - it understands most of what I ask. Performs better if radio is turned off. I already have blue-tooth phone in my car, but it's easy to turn the phone off on the unit. I'm pleased with my purchase.

Awesome product and it lives up to the Garmin name for sure. A lot of the negative reviews revolve around the traffic updates. Have the app downloaded and open and it will work like a charm. Having an unlimited data plan is ideal though. I never imagined spending $200 on a GPS.....until I actually started using this. The only downfall is sometimes you have to say each number on the address for it to register. The bluetooth quality is amazing. I don't know how they do it but it only detects your voice and blocks out most of the background noise during a phone call. I would highly recommend this GPS unit to anyone looking in this price range. Disregard the imbeciles that don't understand this technology and leave bad reviews.

and I have never found an app that works anywhere near as well as the Garmin GPS'es that I have owned. As soon as one direction is completed, it gives the next one. It tells you what lane to be in, and often gives landmarks, as in "turn right after the Shell station." A lot of phone apps give you about thirty seconds warning to cross two or three lanes, and my all time favorites, "Go North" or "Go toward downtown." The only complaint I have is with voice command. I often have to repeat myself two or three times, although what the GPS thinks I've said is often quite amusing.

Though the description doesn't make it very clear, this GPS DOES have the capacity to save "Favorites." In fact, my high school exchange student figured out how to sync my old GPS, which was failing due to problems with the connections, with this new one, and she saved my "Favorites" into the new one, using the heart-shaped icon. It worked out great. another nice feature is that the screen is large enough that it can show nearby restaurants and gas stations on the map. There's a clip on the back for holding the pointer, which does work better than finger-touching (though using fingers on this model is no more difficult than with any other).

I have had garmin gps units for over 20 years and have always been satisfied. This unit is excellent. Besides giving accurate directions it alerts for everything- speed, obstacles, traffic. Great system. It was expense but worth the money. Very accurate. Screen is clear as glass. Definitely recommend.
