It's fast, clean, inexpensive and easily maintained; it requires no gas or batteries to operate. Also, Spring Airsoft Guns are the toughest, most durable of all Airsoft Guns, because they're made with few breakable pieces.

The "metal" in this gun is very nearly plastic. Find the review with pictures of the broken gun. Notice how on the inside of the slide, there are molding markings just like crappy plastic, worse than a plastic version of this weapon. Just similar markings, but it is indicative of the low quality of the metal. It is impossible to make a fully metal pistol with good metal and sell it for 6 bucks and make a profit. The cheap metal gives the gun a nice texture and appearance. However, it is obviously not made to withstand abuse of any kind. Do not hold it too tightly, be easy with the slide. It is liable to collapse or split if stressed. Being metal, that would make for a sharp, jagged edge.DANGER WILL ROBINSON.ProsThe gun shoots pretty accurately, if using .25 gram bbs or heavier. Pretty good distance, maybe 35 feet effectiveness. Mine shoots up and to the left a tad, but it happens consistently, so I can correct for it.ConsThe original Colt 25 has a grip-safety that sits on the back of the grip, that compresses when the corner between your thumb and pointer finger push up against it. This gun has the grip-safety, which juts a few centimeters out from the shape of the handle. It does not compress, it just juts out and is very uncomfortable when cocking the gun.The gun has this defect when cocking a loaded clip. The slide is pulled back to charge the spring, but when released to return to the resting position, the slide may not make it all the way. It stops just a cm from resting, hung up on the bb in the chamber, not quite loaded into place. If you don't notice, and fire it in this condition, it makes a horrid sound and the bb pops out at ~50fps. It is certainly not good for the gun. You must be sure to pull the slide all the way back before releasing it. The spring in my gun is juuust strong enough to push the slide fully forward if pulled all the way back. Test yours when you get it to be sure it operates correctly, or it will break within a few clips.ConclusionIt is totally worth it for the 6 bucks I paid. It is very judging by some people's experiences I read in the reviews, the gun WILL break on you in a short time. You get what you paid for. If you don't care, by a bunch at once to save on shipping. It feels nice except for the non working safety. It is pretty powerful and accurate at moderate distances using heavy bbs. Buy a few and have a simple gunfight with your friends. More than worth it for that much fun.

This was the first Airsoft gun I purchased- I advise you to not make the same mistake I did. For the first couple weeks the gun worked fairly well, and it all went downhill from there. I was using brand new .20 BBs in this pistol instead of the crap ones it came with. My first review for this gun said that it was good for the price and sturdy. However, I found that this was not the case. I had to repeatedly superglue the magazine when it started splitting apart, and then the bottom tab of it cracked off- I had to glue that too. I also glued the two parts of the slide together. The gun stopped working altogether a few days ago, and i opened it up to see the insides were all made of cheap brittle plastic- this is why the gun is so cheap. If you're looking for a gun that will last a few weeks and then break, buy this gun. If not, keep looking.

I am 15 years old and I got this gun to see what it was like due to the high remarks it was given. I have mainly only pros and no cons. Also if you want any sort of accuracy get .20g ammo, not .12g because you can't shoot shot strait at all and it goes where the wind takes it, so spend an extra few dollars and get GOOD .20g ammo.Pros:Amazing accurate weight, maybe 3 pounds. Can fit in your palm.Shoots good (with .20g) around 200 fps with excellent accuracy (VERY GOOD FOR A SPRING PISTOL COSTING [...].INCREDIBLE FEELCons:Semi durable, I am quite sure at least 80% of this pistol is good solid metal. However, don't cock it back to hard or it will start to shoot uncontrollably. If you want to play in a league get an actual gun, not a pistol. Also, if the pistol jams there is no way of taking apart the gun which is what happened to me, my pistol jammed now I need to spend another [...] on this gun but it is a good backup to your backup in a sense. Conclusion:BUY!!!It is worth every penny

The G.1 is definitely the BEST spring pistol for it's price. Maybe even the best spring pistol around... that's debatable. For it's small size, it has outstanding accuracy. I have AEGs that don't shoot as accurately as this does. The metal finish is great, the only plastic on the outside are the grips, magazine, and trigger. The internals are plastic, but for a spring pistol that's just fine. I'll go ahead and throw some pros and cons out there:PROsGreat accuracy (can reach out to 100+ ft with .20)Nice weight (not too heavy, but has that "not a toy" feel)Great external build qualityCONsLow capacity magazine (7 rounds, not that you'll be using it for more than target shooting or as a last ditch backup weapon)Plastic orange outer-barrel (Not really a big con)Galaxy trades on grips (I don't mind, not too noticeable)So, to sum up, this is a great little gun, even the cons are only cons in certain circumstances. I would definitely buy this again, and again, and again. Absolutely the greatest bang for your buck. BUY IT!!!
