I didn't need the lock, just wanted the plastic catch piece and the spring. With some pliers I was able to move these pieces over onto the original lock on the 98 Tacoma. Fit great!

Bought this because the original lock seized up and wouldn't open. Removed the old lock and installed the new one without any issues and it works perfectly.

The replacement fit properly and was easily installed. How i would have preferred to had a replacement slide clip be provided too.
