My wife really enjoys this product for her Jeep. Installing it was simple, especially with YouTube tutorials. However, the plastic alignment tab is quite weak and delicate. I've noticed others have had the same issue, and mine was already broken when I took it out of the box. A good fix is to drill a hole in the plastic trim ring and use a small screw. This has solved the problem, and now the ring stays securely in place. There are also no issues with the fuel door binding or closing.

Overall, I like it and it looks good, but I give it 2.5 stars for Easy to Install & Sturdiness.The installation on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sport Unlimited was little more difficult than expected. First the instructions need a lot of improvements such as photos vs drawing and some text for each step. YouTube videos are available. Also on my Jeep being able to access what I'll call the snap-in points used to remove the old cover behind a metal brace making it hard to push in with your fingers. I used a long flat head to push them in all while pulling on cover from the outside. It took a little work, but I was able to pull it out. Putting the new cover bracket on was pretty easy. Just be careful how you install the new rubber seal. The bevel side goes to the outside of the vehicle and seals against the filler neck. I also used some pool lube on the seal to help in slide on easier. Overall installation took approximately 1.5 hours.As for the sturdiness, it appears the hinge pin is plastic and door only opens about 45-50 degrees. Getting the gas cap to hang and have room to put the gas pump nozzle into the filler neck puts unnecessary stress on the door hinge. Time will tell on this and I use it over time.Excellent value as a similar product at the local 4x4 supply store runs $50-$60. And it looks very good once installed.

So easy to install! It only took me about 10 minutes. I made sure to remove the door from the black plastic piece and put the seal on the black plastic piece first. Then on my Jeep, I just unscrewed the gas cap, removed the original seal with a flat head screw driver, removed my tail light, popped off the old plastic piece of using the flat head screw driver on the clips from the back, removed the gas cap from the old plastic piece and put it on the new one, put the new plastic piece in place while pushing the seal in place, put my tail light back on, and put the door on. So easy and quick but the instructions are crap so I just watched a YouTube tutorial. The pink is much darker than the pink on the rest of my Jeep so I’ll probably repaint it to match my color scheme but it looks really nice and feels durable. It’s not a sure way of preventing your gas from getting stolen but it might detour someone and make it more difficult. I’ll do an update after sometime to see how it wears but so far I definitely recommend!

Plastic broke like paper which inserting with that rubber seal which was super hard , plastic broke like paper , sad , don’t know if Amazon will refund the amount but never mind

I read other reviews when I shopped for this for my wife's Wrangler JK. I pay more attention to bad reviews than good. All the bad reviews were incorrect. If you needed to modify or had trouble with the fit of this product, it was user error. I took the old factory fuel catch bucket, fuel cap and rubber seal ring off utilizing the removed tail light opening. Before installing the new door, disassemble it. It comes pre-assembled but you must install it piece by piece for best results. I than installed the new rubber trim ring, fuel bucket (aligning the pin to the hole in the body is paramount and takes some careful force), trim ring with attached locking fuel door (only 4 of the 6 Allen screws needed to be removed for disassembly/ reassembly ), than reinstalled the fuel cap. Besides the "Allen" screws (tool provided) and the tail light screws ( Phillips ) there was nothing more to do. The door fits flush and tight, DOESN'T spin in place and locks secure. Time will tell about the rustproofing and quality of materials....but so far so good! Easy stuff folks.
