I really like the cost an ease of installing. As seen in the picture, the stock gear is not as wide as the updated gear on the right. The main reason to purchase and install on a Honda XR650L is to not ruin your output shaft with the thin stock gear. I also dropped from the factory 15T to 14T to have better offroad control. It's not as fast on the road, but I don't ride this bike on the road much. You will need to tighten your chain, but shouldn't need to remove any links as long as you're only dropping one tooth in the front. Must buy for the XR650L!
