In full disclosure I didn't buy this on Amazon, but I felt it was important to warn users of a design issue that makes it for a warning. The sides of the appliance that are not covered with the white plastic case gets extremely hot and I was seriously burned when I accidentally came in contact with the side. I definitely wouldn't allow a child to use this without constant supervision.Overall it's a nice appliance and works as described. I imagine there is a very good reason for the design that leaves some of the heated metal element exposed, but it does get extremely hot, so use cautiously.
