Purchased these as Christmas gifts, as part of a gift package for my outdoor friends. It provided them an additional means of fire starting on a sunny day and the ability to have a pocket magnifying glass for small details. Everyone was pleased.

The lens+packet is about the size of a credit card, which makes them very handy. They're also less than a buck each. Between the two, I have them scattered around wherever I might need one.However, 3 of the 10 had some sort of flaw: one's blurry on about 50% of the lens, one has spot about the size of a dime, and a third has a sort of wedge-shaped area starting about halfway along the length.Still worth it for me, but be aware you may not actually get a pack of 10 usable lenses.

Comparatively, yes, for the value. Easily carried and for those times a little more magnification may be needed.

This is much smaller than a box of matches. Use this to read small print and then set fire to the small print!! I keep one in my wallet, my go bag, my hiking pack, and my camping kit. Why not?

Keep in wallet to read small print. Menus, contracts, newspaper, phones, etc. Keep next to your favorite chair to read. Very handy!

I bought these & distributed them in Christmas stocking & camping gear. I used the one I keep in my wallet just the other day when I needed a lighter but the fluid was out. Worked wonders since the sun was shining so strongly.

Bought this for a fire starting kit. Works as intended. Much lighter and more compact than the glass lens it will be replacing.
