This is a high-end temperature logging device that has a built-in sensor and two external sensors on long flat wires. The flat wires make it very easy to use the device on a fridge. I just taped them down on the door so they would go under the door seals into my fridge and freezer. The wires were flat enough so the doors closed without leaking any air. The app gets the data from the device by bluetooth and can store it on your phone. There is enough on-device storage to last for several hundred days if you have it save a reading every 15 minutes (this is adjustable). The app does require you to sign in with your E-mail address. It includes charts of all the data from the device so you can see a history of temperatures. You can also set alarms to let you know if the temps go out of bounds.I decided to get this after having the defroster on my fridge fail causing the coils to freeze up. The fridge didn't outright fail but was running at higher temperatures than it should and not recovering very quickly when the door was opened and closed. Having something like this could help you avoid a situation where there is spoiled food you end up throwing away. It's also very nice in case of a power failure because you will be able to see if the temperature of your fridge got too high while the power was off. They include a lot of stick-on clips you can use to neatly route the cables and place the sensors and hang the device on a wall. It recharges using USB-C.You don't need a computer or WiFi to use this, just a phone. The only downside is that you can't use it to monitor temperatures remotely, like checking the temps in an empty vacation home for example. The company does make other devices though, so if you need remote monitoring, check them out.

I have a huge cigar humidor with thousands of sticks--many that are rare or otherwise hard to get a hold of. I had a $35 temp/humidity monitor and it worked OK but I thought it prudent to upgrade to something like this. The records will help if I ever needed to make an insurance claim and it's really handy to keep track of conditions when I'm out of town. The humidity usually shows as identical to my other hydrometer but the temperature in this device is more accurate and responsive to incremental changes. Great product that does the job I need it to do--highly recommended!

It is a nice enough temp logger with optional probes. The base unit measures temp and humidity and does not require the optional probes. For the probes in my kit one has a large temp range., and the other has temp and humidity.Mine came with a decent instruction manual. At first, mine only charged to about 75% (was missing one pip on the battery charge indicator) but it updated to show full charge once it was connected and running. The Bluetooth connection is pretty good, working through floor and walls for me.The app includes some features for quickly configuring multiple devices as well and groups and management for multiple devices. I only plan to use one device at this time. The setup was easy enough, but it required a validated email, and I needed to enter a code from an email in my junk mail folder. The app is available from a QR code on the manual as well as on the device, it was simple to scan the device to register it in the app, the device setup was straight forward.I had expected it to be web enabled, but it is not set up for remote access, this device requires a Bluetooth connection and is not accessible remotely. Requires a Bluetooth connection to view the history data.

This is a top quality temperature and humidity data logger that is ideal for refrigerator and freezer monitoring. The external probes can be routed into the freezer and refrigerator areas at the door seams, because the cables are flat. I simply place a clear piece of tape over them at the door gasket and it works. Then you can mount the display on the outside with the included double-sided tape hanger button. The Bluetooth aspect of it works well for downloading the data, and configuring the unit when you first get it. You do have to be in range of the unit. Once configured, then the unit works independent of Bluetooth, and you can see all readings, and cycle through the details to show high and low temperatures for example of each probe and the base itself. You can download the data, with the graphs and then clear out the data and start afresh with new data. You can set the data logging points to be from 1 to 99 minutes. The memory capacity is 20,000 readings per probe. So if you have it set to 4 readings every hour (one every 15 minutes) then that will give you 5000 hours or 208 days of readings in total before memory is filled up. At which time you stop the device, download the file and clear it, and start recording again. You can also view it without stopping the recording via the Bluetooth app, but to clear the data, you need to stop recording, save the file and start again.Overall this is one of the higher end monitoring and recording devices that I have used. It is a bit on the expensive side, but it has a lot of features. It is very easy to configure and use however, and doesn't require plugging it into a computer to get the data. That is a huge plus, because some of the other ones require you taking things offline so to speak. This one totally eliminates that step from the process, and by the way, the app allows you to add numerous units to it and name them accordingly.
