  • ACCURATE: More sensors = More accuracy. Conventional stud finders have 1 or 2 sensors. The ProSensor 710+ has 13, making it the most accurate stud sensing tool on the market. The ProSensor 710+ has a max detection depth of 1 3/5". The LEDs track the location of studs while displaying the center and edges simultaneously.
  • EASY: One mode finds it all! The ProSensor 710+ adjusts for a variety of depths, materials and textures. No calibration required. Press and hold the button to begin scanning. Unlike other stud sensors that give false readings, the ProSensor 710+ allows you to start scanning anywhere, even over a stud.
  • DISPLAYS FULL STUDS: The ProSensor 710+ displays the center and edges of studs simultaneously, showing single studs, double studs, and irregular configurations that other stud finders cannot detect. Works through drywall/sheetrock and more!
  • DURABLE: #1 Rated by consumers and professionals, the ProSensor 710+ stud finder is both accurate and durable.
  • EXTRA FEATURES: Integrated Ruler and built-in Bubble Level. Requires two AA batteries (not included). Is NOT compatible with rechargeable batteries.

New and Improved! High Accuracy: Uses 13 sensors to give accurate readings every time One-step operation: just press the button; when placed on wall LED lights instantly indicate studs Deep Sensing: more sensor pad area than other scanners results in deeper scan Triple Accuracy Technology analyzes and triangulates data from all the sensors for highest accuracy Built-in bubble level makes this 2 tools in 1! The ProSensor 710+ puts the latest stud sensing technology of Franklin sensors to work for you. It instantly finds hidden studs, and now has a built-in bubble level and ruler to make every project easier. No sliding is required. This patented detector analyzes data from 13 sensors and immediately illuminates the LED lights that are in front of a stud. The ProSensor 710+ is faster and more accurate than other products on the market. With the built-in bubble level and ruler, the ProSensor 710+ is three tools in one. Now every project can be a faster and easier.

Very accurate but it is too expensive for only having one feature.

Just run it across the wall. 1 light lights up. Stud found. Then 2 lights then 3 lights light up. Center light is center of stud. Only problem is the built in level,it is NOT level . USE a proper spirit level.

Good detector. Like how you have the multiple LED's to let you know where the stud is. I also love how you don't have to start on the wall over a hollow spot like some detectors make you. Like any of these detectors it's not perfect (mostly due to job sight factors that no detector can overcome). I like to use this along with a magnet to verify I'm on the stud. Recommend you try one.

I bought this primarily to install overhead garage racks. This thing is worth it’s price. It can accurately tell you where studs are and it’s easily to determine thei edges. I’ve since used it to locate studs to wire extra electrical outlets too. Way better than the standard sensors with a simple indicator.

This is great at finding a single stud in the middle of a wall. As soon as two studs are near each other (within the width of the stud finder) all hell breaks loose and the indicator LEDs light up like a Christmas display. Moving the unit a millimeter in any direction will cause all of the LEDs to blink on or off in mostly random patterns. Really disappointed with this purchase.

I have used simple stud detectors for years as a week end warrior. This puts them to shame. I really like the ability to find the center immediately and it is so quick and easy. I used it on 5/8 drywall, OSB, and a combination and it found the studs that deep. Another time on an outside wall that was insulated and it found the studs there as well. I would recommend this product to a friend and have no reservations. Thanks for such a great product.

I bought this for a small reno because every studfinder I've ever bought has never worked and beeps obnoxiously at me. I usually just find a stud by knocking or other things on the wall, the poke around 16" over. I got tired of doing this and took the plunge-- this is an expensive stud finder. But, I've probably spent way more than the cost of this, over the years, on the o as I have that don't work. I moved a closet door opening over and only had 1 miss-- it was with a horizontal brace between the studs. It does seem to have some trouble finding those, but vertical ones, never, it was dead-on. Also, I noticed it did have problems determining stud location in an unfinished wall. Once wallboard was up on both sides, it found them just fine. Not sure why that's the case, I was just playing around with it. But, really, how often do you nedd to "find" a sdid on an unfinished wall (you can just look...)?I love it.

I have been renovating a house with my father, and we have used his Franklin Sensors 710 (the original version) for years. I have noticed how much better it performs then any of the other types of stud sensors (of which I have three of various brands). I decided to pick one up for myself so that I could use it on some of my own projects. The "+" model is almost exactly the same as the original, save for the ruler on the top, the level bubble, and there is a slight size difference (less then 1/2" in all dimensions, see picture). As far as I understand there weren't any internal changes. I can see the usefulness of the level bubble, especially if trying to hang something like a picture and it isn't really worth getting a designated level. If you do have the original, it probably isn't worth buying the new version; but if you are trying to decide between the two, all else being the same, I would get the "+" version. The 710+ performs reliably, just the same as the original version. I know that I can trust the readings on this stud sensor, it is much more reliable then any other type I have used. I have completely torn down every walls of the house I am renovating to bare studs, so I am familiar with stud locations in each of the walls. When I put the sensor up to the wall, the studs are all exactly where I expect them to be (and on some of the walls with only one finished side I can check the other side of the wall to verify the readings). I included a picture if it in use, those familiar with construction know that one side or the other of a wall socket will have a stud, and the sensor correctly shows that in the picture. If you are serious about construction and find yourself regularly using stud sensors, the Franklin Sensor 710+ will almost certainly alleviate your frustrations with them.
