Well built and sturdy. Guys at my work almost seemed envious. Really wanted a 0-4" set, but the 3-4" micrometer almost doubled the price. These are great, though. Spin smoothly and no batteries to worry about

For the money I think everybody should have one of these, I wish I could have found a zero to 6 in set. The fit and finish your excellent and the only negative thing I can say is that the heat shield is some thin cheap plastic that is screwed versus bonded to the micrometer frame. Of course just my luck the first time I used the 1-in mic I ended up sliding it off the edge of my bench on accident and it missed my rubber floor mat by about an inch and ended up chipping the plastic on the side. The good news is that even after smacking the concrete fairly hard damage to the plastic heat shield with the only thing I can discern wrong with it I immediately checked it against the standard supplied with the set and it came back in perfect calibration. The fit and finish is awesome on these and would be a great addition to any toolbox that come with standards and calibration instructions. They have a ratcheting thimble that seems to be a little bit loose for life to res urrect as tight as it needs to be to read zero but that may just be the need to slightly correct the calibration. Overall very happy wish I could find a 0 to 6-in set of these.

I love these. I've had the Mitutoyo version for many years, but needed a set that went larger, and these have not disappointed. Certainly accurate enough for what I'm doing ( hobby level machining) and no batteries to go flat just when you need them!

They work great and are packaged very well. My only problem with them is that they are advertised as "digital", when in fact they are not. They are actually "digit counter" mics, meaning they have a mechanical counter on the side instead of a digital readout. If you know how to read a micrometer it's no big deal, but that isn't the issue. Truth in advertising, that's the point.
