The cable comes with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter and the adapter is faulty. It seems to be bent on the inside.

This product is works exactly as it should. I use it to connect my DSLR's shutter to my ASI AIR Plus (astrophotography computer). My camera connects to this system via USB but the shutter release cable was also required, oddly enough. I love the spiral/phone cord style, it allows me to not have extra slack on my telescope setup!

This is a 2.5mm jack patch cable. I use it to connect an astrophotography camera controller to a Canon XSi DSLR. Everything fits and the controller talks to the camera so win win.

I bought this for connecting between a Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer 2i and a Canon T6i DSLR. It works perfectly for the 2i to control the camera shutter. Only complaint is if I put the camera on a Meade 80mm travel scope the cable length is a little bit tight.
