The first one i put together was perfect but the second one has completely fell apart. I'm not sure if it's do to rough shipping or if I got a dud. But the first one was perfect.

Finally got around to assembling this bench and it's pretty good. The wood will need some sort of stain or finish to protect it from the weather if kept outside, but it's sturdy enough to last a while even if not stained. It went together fairly easily and is a great size for the entryway or just to have on the side of the yard. It's a little smaller than I was thinking it would be, only about a meter long (just over three feet), but works fine.

I enjoyed applying the sealer and working with these benches. They are not perfect - you can see some glue through the slats on top, but I think they are solid, well made, good looking and worth the money.

Easy to build and a decent size. I've placed it by my front door to make it easy to put on shoes or drop packages. I had it briefly indoors before I treated it and it looked good inside too sitting on top of my shoe rack. This did come without any treatment so I put on some wood oil so that it would survive outside for longer. In doing so, I noticed there are some spots that are rough and may cause splinters so I'd avoid sitting on it with your bare bottom!

Definitely need a rubber mallet for this project to be put together. You'll also need a Philips drill, however putting together was fairly easy. I would start from the inside out as I tried to follow their directions for the first chair and took forever starting from the middle and working out was much better. However, my complaint is that I received two different sized benches and nowhere does it state that you would get two different sizes.
