Finally got to try out these riding pants along with matching coat. Had to ride 64 miles in the rain and back today temp started out at 56 deg and got up to 61 deg. On the first l leg of my trip. Rained the first 30 miles was light then stopped. On return trip temp started out a 61 deg and got down to 59 deg. Rain started back up at half way home and was much heavier then our 1st leg. I was dry the whole time and warm. I had only the pants on with liner in. If temp got down to 50 I’d definitely add a good pair of heavy long John’s. The pants never got water logged and inside was dry. No water penetration even at 65 mph.

Bought these to take on a week long ride. Temps from upper 50s to low 80's (riding the BRP...). Worked great. I did not use the liner (would have been way too warm) and I didn't get rained on so can't comment on that. Pants fit well, okay for walking in etc. I don't like the lower closures, the velcro does not allow for a good adjustment. I will alter those before the next ride. Cargo pockets are very handy. As everyone else points out, go at least one size bigger, I went two sizes as I like to wear athletic shorts underneath and glad I did. Also, I tried them on with the liner, the liner made them a little snug. I'm 6'2'" about 235lbs and wear a 36/34 in most pants, bought a 40 in this pant...length was good. Knee pads ride in about the right spot when riding, not so much while off bike. I will remove the hip pads. Lastly, a little expensive for my taste but in this case, you get what you pay for.
