So, I ordered this in the 72” first to use as a shelf above my door and it arrived on time so that was cool. As soon as I opened it I noticed right away it did not look like the picture. The wood is more of a smooth look. Bummer but I mean it’s wood I knew it wasn’t going to be the exact one from the advertised picture, and thought oh maybe I just got one with minimal “distressing” even tho it doesn’t look distressed at all. So I hung it up (which was fairly simple) and thought “well another one above the window would be nice as a shelf” so I ordered the 60” from the same place, like I went into my recent purchases and selected the 72” one and just changed the size. I was then bummed because the price had gone up, so I ended up paying more for the smaller one. So that was stupid. But oh well. Again it came on time and once again, I noticed right away after opening it that it was completely different than the first shelf, but much more like the advertised picture in that it was more distressed and characterized like I had originally wanted. The 60” which had a completely different mounting in the back, was also fairly simple to hang. Honestly they are close enough that it works, but now that I have them both I realized that the first one isn’t even the same dimensions as advertised. And the more I look at them, the more different I notice that they are.On the positive side of both, they have a good amount of depth to put stuff on, so it’s functional and I like the more chunky look from the front. But it is clear that each surface is a different piece suck on, not a massive deal, but I guess they could’ve tried harder to blend the pieces to make it look a bit more solid.Overall, I would not recommend. The inconsistency of what your actually buying and price fluctuation is ridiculous. When I came to write this review the price has dropped on them both to below the cheaper of the two I paid for. This has all been in like a week time frame mind you. Very displeased with this entire situation.

I decided to upgrade the 'builder's grade' fireplace in my home with stone & a floating mantel. This mantel was the perfect finishing touch. I never expected this kind of quality at a bargain price.The "After" is on the left, the "Before" is on the right in the side-by-side photo.

I looked for quite awhile for the “right” solution to hold my electronics under my television in my living room. I didn’t want a media cabinet, so I started looking at floating shelves/mantles. I am so happy I purchased this. 1. The price is flipping amazing. 2. Everything provided to mount the mantle was great. It looks beautiful. I was so impressed with the way it looked I decided to purchase smaller shelves made by this same company same exact quality. You will be very happy with this purchase.

I was hesitant to buy it because it was significantly cheaper than the other options. However, I am so glad I made the purchase—it looks gorgeous! A handyman installed it for me, and it took him only a few minutes. It's also very deep and solid. Overall, I am extremely happy with my decision.

This was the PERFECT addition to our home (our fireplace looked “naked” without a mantle, but despite being handy & and aspire to be a DIY-er, I wasn’t sure if I could install this myself. But it was surprisingly easy to install — all my myself (it’s “relatively” easy…assuming you have some power tools & know how to drill holes and put wall anchors into drywall).The only problem I had was that I hit the brick of the chimney when drilling the holes in the drywall (and couldn’t go deeper than about 1/4 inch). But after a a quick trip to the hardware store, and buying a masonry drill bit, the drilling was like going through butter.All you is use the included screws and drywall anchors to attach a French cleat board (that comes with the mantle….it’s (just a solid wood board with a tapered edge). Once that’s attached, you basically just hang the mantle itself on the French cleat, and use 2 more screws to keep it in place. You might need another person to help you lift it, but I’m a big guy and I did it myself.

I was going to send it back due to ordering wrong size. I’m so glad I didn’t. It looks really nice and was easy to install. Great value for less than $300 that other mantle’s cost. I would recommend placing construction adhesive to mounting board. It made it much sturdier. Great product!
