The mantel is not of very good quality. The finishing was really poor. I received two splinters just by running my hand over it due to small bumps on the wood.

this mantel was packaged superbly. Very protected As for the mounting, all I needed was to anchor a 2x4 to my fireplace wall and this mantel fit perfectly over it and all I needed was to screw the mantel to the 2x4

We were in the middle of a remodeling job and had removed the 1980s mantel and we’re having a hard time deciding on our next move for the fireplace. We purchased this product because of the great look and value. Our surprise came at how easy it was to install and it looks SO GOOD. It gives the fireplace a 21st century look and looks and feel like a top quality mantel in the house.

You cant argue the price. This mantle delivers good vfm. It’s lightweight and doesn't feel particularly solid but looks good and is a good choice for an apartment where you don’t want to over invest. Its more a 3.5 than 4 but Im satisfied.
