So much better than my last jet boil. Love that it’s self lighting, collapses down into itself, and has the thermal covers. It boils water very quickly, and seems to be good quality. Have taken this camping at least 5 times, and it has been phenomenal. No issues with it.

Set up was easy less than a minute. Boils water just over a minute. But honestly who cares if it takes one minute and 20 seconds or two minutes and 20 seconds or three minutes and 20 seconds who cares anyhow this thing boils water in about a minute and 20 seconds it was 70° outside no wind and it worked fabulously. Very happy.

Compact, ease of use, I boiled 1 litre of water. Some surface movement in 4 minutes 15 seconds, full on boil at 4 minutes 40 seconds. Heats super fast and with the knob able to dial it back. Cools off pretty quick as well. Only thing was repacking i had to figure out out the "exact" order, right side up or down..At this point extremely happy

I love the Firemaple! After tons of research, I chose this stove over the much more expensive Jetboil and I’m soo happy I did! It performs well, boils water quickly, is easy to light with the built in igniter. The pot is large enough to boil water for coffee and breakfast at once. Everything, including my 100g fuel can and small cleaning cloth, fit neatly inside the pot. Cute interchangeable pot cozies! If you’re on the fence, I vote buy it.

I’ve used this many times so far on my camping trip and I am thoroughly impressed and pleased. I was going to get a Jet Boil or another name brand stove until I saw ads for this one. It’s within a reasonable price range. It boils water quickly. It’s portable. Functional. The ignition and flame are great. I would definitely buy another Firemaple stove.

Boils water in about 90 seconds. Great for backpacking and car camping and I love that everything including the gas canister will pack into it. Mine came with 3 sleeves to customize the look. I had it up running on high when there was a bit of wind and the flame singed the sleeve, it was no biggie though and I guess that's why they give you a few of them. Every other time of used it it's been perfect and about half the cost of a jet boil.

was looking for a less expensive stove but would boil water as quick as a Jetboil. this stove is compact, more than half the cost, and provides similar performance to Jetboil. After several campouts, I have no complaints. mainly used to boil water for dehydrated meals, reheating prepared foods and coffee. the stove has been through incremental weather, and wind with minimal impact to performance.

I purchased this because of the price compared to the jet boil version. Yes the Jetboil probable boils water 30 seconds faster than this one, I cant justify the price difference as 30 seconds more fuel does not mean much to me. Five star rating from me. I also really like how everything fits so compacts and the mesh bag it comes in.

Let me tell you, did I turn some heads at the last camping trip. I had warned them that I had a jetboil competitor and they were like: whatever. So i woke up that next morning and while they're struggling with their coffee, I set mine up in under a minute. That's right. A minute. Then turned on the juice and ignited the flame. Others watching me from their envious eyes did the eye rolls.Three minutes later when that liter of water boiled, no more eye rolls. Suddenly everyone became very interested in this Fire-Maple of mine. It's something when for very little fuel consumption you can have boiling hot water in three minutes. A liter of boiling hot water. I mean I can microwave a cup of water for three minutes and get it hot, but this thing took three minutes on a liter. Crazy time.So while they all were waiting on coffee I poured my water and got started on my nice hot coffee. Then got my oatmeal going. And by the time they had finished their setup, I had eaten, cleaned up, packed down, and was getting my kayak ready for the water. No more laughing and eye rolling now. This fire-maple gets you on the water faster. Worth every penny of it. If I didn't want to prove a point I could have gotten this setup and done in the tent. Quick. Nice option when it's cold and rainy. I haven't even tried anything more complex than that at this point. So for the doubters, this is the real mckoy. Loved it, love it, and there's no "oops" about this...I'm gonna do it again.

In short, this little guy is easy to use, boils water lightning fast, and is pretty fuel efficient. However, it does NOT nest the heating element, stand and a fuel cannister as advertised. I've never owned a Jet Boil, but for my pocketbook and needs this thing is a solid winner. For background, I'm a car camper and not a backpacker. My primary use for this is to boil water for dehydrated meals and hot toddies when camping, but I'd probably be comfortable cooking some simple meals in it if needed.I originally bought this for the possibility of putting it in my bug out bag, but my bag is pretty small and it's yet to be determined whether this will make the final cut. However, it has plenty of other uses and was still worth the purchase. It lights quickly and reliably, and although I didn't keep an actual count I'm pretty certain I got 15-20 "boils" out of it with one standard cannister. Never timed it, but this thing boils fast -- 3-4 minutes. It's so much easier and efficient to use this vs bringing out my big Coleman stove just to boil some water. The only reason I'm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is because the whole system - including the fuel cannister - does not nest in the pot. That's the main reason it didn't make the bag. I just bought a cannister from Wal Mart, I don't know if Fire Maple sells it's own cannisters or not and whether they might fit.Pro tip -- when nesting the stove in the kettle, the base (where the fuel screws in) goes UP. I don't know why, but when I put it in the other way it got stuck and it took a while to get it out (in fact I was about to throw it out and write a bad review, because I had tried repeatedly to extract it).As others mentioned, it does run a little loud. Also you definitely want to keep an eye on it when boiling, because it can get a little shaky and possibly tip over -- although that has never actually happened to me so maybe I'm a worry wart.

Bought this as a cheaper alternative to the Jet Boil. This stove works great! Easy to setup and clean, Carrying pouch makes it easy to store. Feels solid and sturdy, locking mechanism is great.
