I had tried one before this and many of them beep when level is off. Unfortunately noise from those units drives my dog crazy and also annoys people when I wanted to use it at night. So this Unit is SILENT!!!!, if balance is off it blinks, dead silent. i love it!, I use for picture hanging and also when I was placing shelving and leveling a wall support. great tool. I made an adapter with my 3d printer to go on a mic stand so I can adjust as high as the ceiling. Like the remote light control.

A mixed bag really. The construction of every element of this level, from the tripod to the handle to the level itself is cheap and not very durable feeling - which is fine if it's being carefully handled or stored - but the potential for damage if used in an actual work environment is pretty high. It's not the most armour-plated thing. What it does well is projecting very bright / strong / unbroken beams. The green is so easy to see in all sorts of light levels, and the remote is a good addition if you want to flip to vertical while away from it, turn it off, etc - it saves turning around to return to it, and potentially getting a face full of laser light.Things get a little more 'not great' when it comes to the levels themselves. It's a bit hit and miss with auto levelling. Sometimes it'll be perfect when I make my marks and then use an actual level to double check - but then on other occasions it'll be significantly off. In the short term it's making life an awful lot easier, especially if you're in a big room with a load of marks to make. In the longer term, it does require a fair bit of double checking with a regular level as it's not reliable from one position to another, not helped but quite how fragile and wobbly the entire construction is.A carry bag would've been handy, too. The box it comes in offers no significant protection and is pretty thin.Staying on the theme of bags and to repeat myself - I found this a mixed bag. There's a pinch of salt to be taken with the auto-levelling, and before committing yourself fully to drawing lines etc, DO double check. However, the ease of use, setup, low price and strength and consistency of lights does make this useful.

I used the USB C to charge the two batteries then turned it on. Immediately turned it off and ordered the proper frequency laser goggles. Also ordered a laser target for fence line work (power level 3).Don't use your phone rapid charger this battery only takes 5V at 1 Amp. There is battery meter near the unit control but the laser will tank to let you know time to change the battery when when you are working away from the unit. When I pull the dead battery I immediately put it on a power bank should the day go long.That mounting bracket has magnets on one side and camera mount socket it my theodolite tripod. It can be adjusted with the knob in one axis and locked with the lever on the other side.I keep the remote handy to turn off the laser when visitors are around.Keep a plastic bag around this unit is not rainproof. The case keeps everything in order and is padded and rain proof.If you get the box within 4% of level on automatic it will level itself and stop blinking. When the tripod is bumped it will start blinking. The big green switch on the side is the on/off. The vertical, horizonal, and manual/auto switches are on the top and remote.It pays for itself in about 3 hours because I can keep working without a rod helper. Or spending time training a helper.You can see in the pictures when your on the line the rod is level and plum for your reading.The pictured well house is being replaced with a well house, feed storage, solar array building. Just doing the slab will require cut and fill, under gravel, insulation, rebar, and top of slab leveling.It comes in handy for finish carpentry as can be seen it the cedar countertop photo.I will be using this to run a offset line along the property line for a fence. Line trees and neighbors rhododendrons are now on the property line. I need to be on line before plowing through those rhodys.I may have to buy their laser receiver for long fence runs.

Works great. The green beam goes all the way around and vertical. We use for large commercial tile work. Could use a bag for the tripod.

Nothing to dislike about this laser. Fantastic value for money! easy to use, two rechargeable power packs, and even a remote on off to save battery usage! And an excellent tripod included!

I was able to hang my cat perfectly level on the wall with the aid of this level. Seriously though, great level with good features. Perfect for the home DIYer with the option to do more advanced leveling if needed. Bright lasers and self levels nicely. Ive done several projects using this level and it has worked tremendously well. Great package deal with the tripod and remote included. 5 stars.
